Just got back from a stay at The Royalton and started off shaky with the check in process but was totally redeemed. Victor the hotel Manager was absolutely exceptional, very personal, warm, nothing was too much, made us feel heard and went out of his way to make things perfect for us. The staff were friendly, accommodating and checked in on us all the time (even sent a beautiful complimentary fruit platter to my room). The food was really good for an all inclusive, I was so pleasantly surprised. Breakfast's of poached eggs, greens, bacon, healthy options and also some delicious treats. the hotel is intimate, boutiquey, the beach is stunning, crystal clear waters, soft sand, and an amazing lobster grill place just a short walk away. There was always music and good vibes by the pool. We did yoga most days and the gym was well equipped. The room was clean, spacious and the TV was big with a large balcony. Everything was near, supermarket, coffee shop and a lovely little gift shop/store on site. Thank you Victor and team for making sure we felt special, heard and looked after. Would love to come to come back and recommend highly!

Don't listen to any negative reviews, understand it is not a "luxury" resort so if you are expecting luxury you will be disappointed. I've stayed at royaltons so I know what to expect. The staff is amazing, they had us laughing within 2 minutes of arriving. The food is what to be expected. You won't starve by any means but it is not 5 star meals. The drinks were always good. There is abundant seating on the beach and towels always available, which I had a problem with at previous resorts. Its nice to be the only resort on the beach, keeps the crowds to a minimum. Very safe and you can walk the entire beach. Its definitely a slower more laid back resort than other royaltons, but thats more what its like in antigua to began with. Well worth the stay and price compared to others on the island.

Our stay at the Royalton Antigua was outstanding from start to finish. The entire team delivers genuine hospitality, and the beach service in particular is phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and always there exactly when you need them. It made every day by the water completely awesome We upgraded to the Overwater Bungalows and it absolutely made the trip. Waking up over the ocean, the privacy, and the views were simply incredible. Quite honestly, it saved us a trip to the Maldives — you get that same world-class overwater experience much closer to home. Everything about the stay felt relaxed and seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy the beauty of Antigua and the resort. A special thank you to General Manager Frederick Sengewitz for leading such an exceptional property, and a big shout out to Donalee, our Diamond Club Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable stay. If you’re considering the Overwater Bungalows, do it. You won’t regret it. We will absolutely be back

The hotel looks good on the surface, but is lacking in quality of services, food and amenities. We up graded to the Diamond Club and it wasn’t worth it. Couldn’t get top shelf liquor at the restaurants and all the other benefits were mediocre at best. Butler service was spotty and unreliable. Food was awful even at the “high-end” restaurant (Piscari). They charge a $80 per person premium and the food and service sucked. Service across the board was sub par. The staff wasn’t friendly and did the bare minimum. Restaurant staff was horrible and everything we asked was an inconvenience. Just trying to modify a dish was incredibly difficult. A plus side, they have an awesome gym. Great equipment, super clean and spacious. I would say it’s a great hotel if you want to sit by the pool and drink watered down drinks or local beer.

Hospitality and customer service at this hotel needs a complete overhaul. When you spend money for a luxury resort, you expect luxury. I paid for a room with two queen beds. When we got there, we were given a room with one bed and when I asked about it, they nonchalantly said there was a pull out sofa and cots and they would take care of it "tomorrow." We paid full price for an all inclusive and you expect us to sleep on cots and the sofa? Absolutely Unacceptable. I spent the first few hours of my first day fighting to get a room to stay in! There were so many issues after that, including the fact that they brought out the wrong cake at my brother's wedding and also decided to serve chicken instead of the salmon that was requested and paid for! I'll let them tell their horror stories. They have many. Many times there was no water available. Showers leaked. There's just not enough room to detail all the other issues we encountered. All in all, this resort is beautiful, the weather was perfect, the food was okay, and those things made the stay bearable. But that's where it ends. I will not be returning.
