Our stay at the Royalton Antigua was outstanding from start to finish. The entire team delivers genuine hospitality, and the beach service in particular is phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and always there exactly when you need them. It made every day by the water completely awesome We upgraded to the Overwater Bungalows and it absolutely made the trip. Waking up over the ocean, the privacy, and the views were simply incredible. Quite honestly, it saved us a trip to the Maldives — you get that same world-class overwater experience much closer to home. Everything about the stay felt relaxed and seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy the beauty of Antigua and the resort. A special thank you to General Manager Frederick Sengewitz for leading such an exceptional property, and a big shout out to Donalee, our Diamond Club Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable stay. If you’re considering the Overwater Bungalows, do it. You won’t regret it. We will absolutely be back

The hotel looks good on the surface, but is lacking in quality of services, food and amenities. We up graded to the Diamond Club and it wasn’t worth it. Couldn’t get top shelf liquor at the restaurants and all the other benefits were mediocre at best. Butler service was spotty and unreliable. Food was awful even at the “high-end” restaurant (Piscari). They charge a $80 per person premium and the food and service sucked. Service across the board was sub par. The staff wasn’t friendly and did the bare minimum. Restaurant staff was horrible and everything we asked was an inconvenience. Just trying to modify a dish was incredibly difficult. A plus side, they have an awesome gym. Great equipment, super clean and spacious. I would say it’s a great hotel if you want to sit by the pool and drink watered down drinks or local beer.

I would not recommend staying at Royalton Antigua to anyone. For the amount of money this resort charges, the experience was honestly unacceptable from start to finish. Upon arrival, the room was dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. The AC barely worked, leaving the room humid and damp the entire stay. The sheets constantly felt wet, and if you walked barefoot around the room your feet would literally turn black from how dirty the floors were. The food was even worse. The steakhouse — which is somehow considered one of the main restaurants on the resort — was completely out of almost every steak option, leaving guests with basically one choice… at a steakhouse. After eating there, my entire family became sick with diarrhea. After looking into it further, I found articles from earlier this year reporting food poisoning concerns tied to the steakhouse and buffet due to improper food storage. After our experience, I completely believe it. The lunch options were just as ridiculous. One lunch hut opened at 12 PM and by 12:45 PM they were already out of half the menu. Another lunch spot on the resort we never even got to try because we were told it was “closed due to low census.” Low census? There were 140 people there for our wedding alone, another wedding happening the same weekend, plus a huge work conference taking place at the resort. So where exactly was the lack of guests? And if there supposedly weren’t enough guests, then why was the resort constantly running out of food? The resort advertises 24/7 room service, but that was another disaster. Most of the time, if you ordered food, you waited 2-3 hours for it to arrive — if it arrived at all. There were multiple nights where our orders never came, and the same thing happened to several of our friends staying at the resort as well. And somehow it gets worse — one of my friends ordered a coffee at breakfast and halfway through the cup found an old mummified fly sitting at the bottom of it. Absolutely disgusting. Everything runs on “island time,” but unfortunately the rude and unhelpful staff made the experience even more frustrating. We actually started leaving the resort just to eat because we were starving and tired of getting sick after every meal. The food off the resort was delicious and completely fine, so it’s safe to say the problem is not Antigua — it’s this poorly managed resort. This place desperately needs renovations, competent management, and serious improvements to cleanliness and food safety. A complete waste of hard-earned money and by far one of the worst all-inclusive experiences I’ve ever had.

Just to say this was our first time in Antigua Royalton we have been to the Negril Royalton as well . Well all I can say is this is a diamond in the ruff, food was good staff very very friendly in fact we had ordered a steak and miss communication it was wrong so they bought us a new steak back to the table didnt think of it ,next day had a fruit plate in our room with an apology letter still have it too. The nice young man who drove the cart to our room was friendly he always had a smile we definitely want to come back. Not once did we come across any.rude staff in fact we thought they were great ❤️❤️❤️ We were there in April by the way the property is stunning when say about the staff we actually had nice conversations with them and also kudos to the Royalton they do look out after their own staff amazing .We actually want to go back,just to name a few nice people and sorry not remembering some but our house keeper Raquel and the other nice lady that was with her plus Tiffany who checked us in to Shannon who serve us both on the beach and Scores Sports bar ❤️

All in all we loved our stay here at the Royalton antigua. There grounds are lovely! The pools, and beach were beyond beautiful! We had 2 butlers that were very kind to us and pampered us with wine in our room and making our dinner reservations(which was a bonus). Our maids on our floor were such hard workers and always greeted us with a smile and a hello. Where our review goes down a bit is with the servers in the restaurants and the food. A majority of the servers looked like they didn't want to be there. Couldn't get a smile out of them at all! So sad. Two of the restaurants we were very disappointed in the food. Not 5 start by far! We did love the Grazie restaurant for food and the service! Menus are so limited so when you are there for 2 weeks you are not getting much variety. We actually ate at buffet more than expected so we could order food cooked fresh such as pasta or eggs. I We are just questioning that the Royalton are treating their employees with respect and pay them what they deserve! Especially the servers!
