I just love this resort! The food, the service, the attention to the Greek hospitality met our expectations and more. The Vedema delivered on many experiences. Traditional Greek traditions meet modern luxury, The luxury Collection Hotel & Resort Collection by Marriott Bonvoy is highly recommended. We can’t thank enough to the wonderful staff and management. We lived every cat that greeted us. I will never forget this trip

The hotel has a good location, good aesthetics and syaff is friendly. It’s not what I consider a five star hotel service. The food is just OK, the room I stayed in had no privacy, the shower was flooded, there were no pool amenities like sandals and bag. Something I would expect at a five-star hotel in Santorini. Although they were clearly not at capacity, they refused to give me the upgrade my credit card provided. On My second day there were trash bags outside of my patio area. I ordered food to the room from the restaurant late in the night and was told that I could not keep the plates in the room and had to wait for someone to come back and pick it up when I was done. Never seen that before.

I can't overlook the serious privacy / security issues of this hotel. Twice staff walked in on us. Once, the staff knocked around 9:30pm after the turn down service had already been completed. I was about to get in the shower and didn't even have time to robe myself before the staff member let himself into our suite. The second time was the next day when a staff member didn't even bother to knock and literally walked right into our suite. While the hotel upgraded us to a nicer suite for our honeymoon and provided a bottle of sparking, these experiences and the lack of any outreach from management has me feeling as if the situation wasn't taken seriously. The location is quite far from the city center. We ended up renting a car.

If you are looking for a trip to Santorini that is not crowded and crazy the Vedema is a wonderful option. We loved the hotel, the staff, the food and the atmosphere! On our departure date there was an unscheduled ferry strike. Our travel company was not attentive. But the hotel staff made some phone calls to confirm our ferry and offered to allow us to stay in our rooms if we were stranded for an extra night. Everyone went over an above to ease a bit of stress from travel. I would definitely recommend the Vedema and would love to return!

Decided to book a 5 star luxury stay at Vedema (as advertised) for my wedding and was instantly disappointed the second we walked through the doors. The word luxury in their name is laughable. The room we booked was not what we got. The room they put us in was unbelievable dangerous to have an 18 month old in with marble stairs. The staff were accommodating and moved us rooms however this room again was no where near what we booked. The photos DO NOT represent the room we booked! They have falsely advertised a nicer room and the rooms you get are the most run down, old, smelt locked up, not kid friendly (power points IN THE GROUND) rooms. The walls are so thin I can hear the neighbour brushing his teeth… We have paid roughly 600 euro a night and nothing in this place matches that price tag. There is nothing luxury about this place. Highly recommend STAYING AWAY. I’ve requested a refund multiple times due to them falsely advertising the rooms and the rooms not being what we booked but we were told we should have cancelled 21 days ago to get the full refund to which I responded “if I saw these rooms 21 days ago, I would have cancelled”. The only refund they are “happy” to give is the 400 euro they over charged and owe us. Please please please if you’re looking at this review. Stay away. You can find something or anything nicer than this place. We will be leaving our accommodation to find something more suitable for our wedding and will keep pushing for a refund as the only reason we booked is due to their false advertising on their “luxury” rooms which is outright criminal.
