I can not say enough about how amazing The Saint in Oia is. From the minute you arrive until the minute you leave is perfection. Every single member of the staff is dedicated to making your trip fantastically memorable. They even insist on setting up your towels on loungers by the pool. Every spot of the resort is clean and beautiful. The staff always had a giant smile and friendliness to them. The views by day are gorgeous, but sunset and after are breathtaking. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Santorini.

I stayed in their Saint Suite in June 2025 and was very disappointed and mislead. The photos and descriptions online showed luxurious, clean, modern rooms, but my room was not as advertised. It was dirty with someones hair in the shower, the air conditioning wasn’t working, and there were stains on the linens. I reported the issues to the front desk, but the staff didn’t offer any real solution and didnt clean the shower for over 24 hours after multiple requests. There are several other issues with this hotel that I would caution against, it is just not worth the price. This was not the experience i expected based on the listing and considering I booked their most expensive suite.

Beautiful hotel with amazing GM and staff! Impeccable service, fantastic hospitality, they go above and beyond for their guests. Gorgeous view of the caldera. Hope to return again someday!

We booked the Saint Suite, which was described as luxury, but it was FAR from it. While the stay started off well with friendly staff and stunning views, it quickly went downhill once we settled in. We have stayed at numerous hotels in Greece and all over the world, and this is one of the most poorly designed hotels we have encountered. The first MAJOR red flag was a DIRTY ROOM.
Upon arrival, we noticed the shower was dirty and covered in the last guest’s hair all over the walls. When we reported it, the staff didn’t take it seriously and didn’t even seem to believe us. It took OVER 24 hours and multiple reminders before it was finally cleaned. Aside from that, the room generally was dirty, with dusty surfaces, smudged counters, and overall poor maintenance. They keep bed comforters on the floor instead of placing them on the bed, which I’ve never seen at any hotel and is just not sanitary. Please know that there is also NO PRIVACY at this hotel due to non existent “Do Not Disturb” signs. There is no way to keep staff or others from entering your suite or pool area. Staff constantly walked in and out of our “private” terrace and pool and even knocked on our door, which is actually just a transparent sliding balcony door. I have never been to a hotel that does not have Do Not Disturb signs. Unbelievable. Next major issue for anyone looking forward to enjoying the Saint Suite “pool”… it’s actually a jacuzzi, and it’s way too hot to enjoy during the Santorini summer. On top of that, it’s swarmed with bugs, making it nearly unusable at night. I’m not exaggerating, over 100 bugs including beatles flew into the water every night. I understand this is out of the hotels control but still worth mentioning. But WORST OF ALL was the (lack of) air conditioning. The AC DID NOT WORK. Our room got unbearably hot, so much that our dessert melted in the room. The AC unit was noisy and displayed an error about a dirty filter. Maintenance staff came after we complained several times and admitted the unit was old and not sufficient for a suite of that size. We couldn’t sleep or relax in the room because of the heat. CUSTOMER SERVICE was also a huge disappointment. When we raised our concerns, they dismissed them and even gaslit us about some of the issues (AC, dirty shower, etc).

I left a negative but honest review on Booking.com, and shortly afterward, the hotel contacted me offering compensation if I would remove it. That’s why you see almost nothing but glowing 5-star reviews across platforms—they actively suppress criticism through bribery or pressure. It’s dishonest and manipulative. Despite what the photos suggest, this hotel is nowhere near a real 5-star experience. We stayed in the cheapest room, paying €650–700 per night, and what we got was a property that looks upscale from the outside, but cuts corners at every turn. - Breakfast featured frozen fruit, stale bread, and greasy, rubbery omelets - They tried to charge €50 to serve that same breakfast on a floating tray, without informing us in advance - €12 for a domestic beer (Mythos) - €80 for a transfer that costs €30–40 elsewhere - The door to our room didn’t lock properly, which is completely unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one claiming five-star status - No ironing board, no Netflix, no smart TV, and a bare gym - The Wi-Fi was unreliable—slow, spotty, and frequently cut out - A simple request for a one-hour late checkout on a Sunday was denied The hotel is also designed for exclusion—everything is quiet, compartmentalized, and inward-facing. There’s little to no opportunity to interact with other guests, and no sense of atmosphere or community. It’s built for photos, not people. The location is inconvenient as well—you’ll need to walk 20–30 minutes to find food that’s even passable. Nearly all nearby restaurants serve overpriced, poor-quality meals that often left us feeling sick. The staff are clearly overworked, running up and down steep stairs in the sun from early breakfast service (7–8 a.m.) until after 10 p.m. That’s a 16-hour day, which violates Greek labor law, which caps shifts at 9 hours plus limited overtime. It’s exploitation, plain and simple. The staff were kind and doing their best—but the hotel is operated in a way that prioritizes image and profit over hospitality, service, or ethics. If you’re booking for the view, you’ll get it. But if you expect true 5-star hospitality, honest pricing, basic safety, or fair treatment of workers, you will be disappointed. This is not luxury. It’s a curated illusion. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.
