The Royalton chick Antigua the very nice resort. The beaches are beautiful plenty of pools and plenty of bars. The room is nice. The air condition is great but I don’t think the resort was able to handle 350 people at one time the day before we left The food truck outside ran out of food at the buffet as well as plates and bowls. Some Gas were not able to get beach towels until after 1 o’clock. The bar, specially where people are not diamond club members. It was like a vulture, trying to get a drink. It was very unorganized. The staff did the best they could, and they were all nice. They cannot keep up with the people in in the demand.

The resort itself is beautiful. The rooms are clean, roomy, and comfortable. The food was good at Haven Grill, Food truck, Vespa, Hunter Steakhouse, and the breakfast order in menu at the Olympus which is a diamond club restaurant which most of these are. The buffet food was cold, and a big variety, and was not tasty. We did learn that you can ask the server to ask the cook for extra seasoning on the food which I would suggest. The butler service that comes with the diamond club option is good depending on who you have. I had Zen who was amazing very attentive and detailed oriented but his relief for our say Rae-Hannah was awful only hear from her in the morning when she text good morning and in the evening when she was leaving for the day. Also the Diamond club bar closes at 7pm which I thought was stupid being that with diamond you get top shelf liquor and the other bars don't carry the top shelf liquor except for Taboo which had the top shelf liquor you just had to ask for it. Also there is a designated pool for diamond club members but there is no entertainment at it at all, which I thought was odd. But overall the resort is very beautiful and the beach is amazing. The view from the diamond club rooms are Beautiful...

I can’t say enough how awesome this place was, the staff was incredibly attentive, our butler Maxwell went above and beyond on every step. Facility looks brand new, decoration on point, every detail was made with class. Beach was a wow, tranquil and clear. Weather was AMAZING in the middle of summer, hot during the day but amazingly breeze at night. Shows at night were entertaining. Beautiful hotel, excellent location, gorgeous views. Amazing service. Food can improve but I’m sure everyone will have their opinion but in general GREAT GREAT PLACE!

Royalton CHIC Antigua - Diamond Club Experience I visited the Royalton CHIC in Antigua last week and, while the resort has undergone recent renovations, it still has a long way to go to meet the standards of a luxury experience-especially for the price. We stayed as Diamond Club members in a swim-up room. While the view from the room was beautiful, I was disappointed to find that people could walk directly past our room. At other resorts with swim-up rooms, this kind of foot traffic is usually restricted, offering more privacy. Service was one of the biggest letdowns. Upon arrival, we had to wait for our room to be cleaned, and housekeeping didn’t come until much later in the day. It was surprisingly difficult to get basic items like washcloths and towels. On multiple days, we were told there were no extra towels available-even beach towels ran out early, so if you weren’t out by a certain time, you were out of luck. The butler service was the worst I’ve experienced. It felt more like having a middleman than a helpful concierge. Room service took forever, and drinks at the Diamond Club bar were also slow to come-unless Ersla/Elsa was working. She was a bright spot and delivered excellent service. Food across the resort was very hit or miss. The food at Pescari was particularly disappointing. There are two separate menus: one for Diamond Club guests (included) and one that you must pay for, which had better options. If you're dining with guests who aren’t in the Diamond Club, make sure their room number is provided to avoid charges going to the wrong room. Vespa was good, Hunter was okay, and Haven Grill was average. The food truck options weren’t impressive. The bird problem at the resort is significant, likely due to people leaving food out. I even saw birds land on plates, which was very off-putting. The complimentary Diamond Club spa access (sauna, steam room, hot tub) was just okay. Nice to have, but not a game-changer. Everyone we encountered on staff was kind, but the resort is clearly understaffed. Everything took far too long, and nothing seemed organized or efficient. The island itself doesn’t offer much in terms of activities. We went to Shirley Heights, which was just okay. Overall, there was nothing during our stay that would bring me back to this resort—or even to another Royalton property. If you’re just looking for a place to relax and don’t care much about food, service, or amenities, this place might suit you. But for the cost and the Diamond Club status, it simply wasn’t worth it.

Antigua was absolutely breathtaking — I enjoyed every single moment of my solo birthday trip. Would I recommend visiting Antigua? Without a doubt. Would I recommend staying at Royalton Chic? Absolutely not. While the resort is aesthetically pleasing and relatively new (just about a year old), there are still several areas that need serious improvement. The specialty restaurants were nicely decorated, but the food was consistently mediocre and served lukewarm. The exceptions were the wings at the sports bar — a solid 10/10 and the drop-in deli “Insomnia,” which offered great sandwiches, coffee, and desserts. Unfortunately, everything else left much to be desired. Check-in was a mess. Although check-in officially begins at 3 PM, many guests myself included were left waiting for hours. By the time I was finally given my room, most of the day had slipped away. Upon entering, I discovered my shower was broken. While maintenance came to fix it the next day, it broke again shortly after which was surprising given how long the room had been "prepared" prior to check-in. If you're assigned to Building #1, request a room change immediately. The building is located near dense trees, which brings an overwhelming number of mosquitoes. You could tell the issue was ongoing the room had visible blood stains on the ceiling, walls, and drapes from previous guests killing bugs. To make things worse, housekeeping leave the doors open while cleaning, inviting even more mosquitoes inside. Entertainment was lackluster and didn’t live up to expectations. the foam party was boring and for it to be considered a Caribbean island surprisingly there was no Caribbean music which sucked. Would I return to Antigua? 100% yes. Would I stay at Royalton Chic again? Never (not worth the $$)
