We booked a room with breakfast but the breakfast didn't work out and we had many problems during our stay. When we checked out, the woman at the reception assured us that everything was fine and that we would get our deposit back in full. However, the hotel kept more than $90 without any explanation. Although we repeatedly contacted the hotel by email and asked for clarification, the only response we received was an incorrect invoice charging us for breakfast, even though this was clearly included in our booking. This is unacceptable. The hotel has withheld money from us without justification and we expect an immediate refund of the amount withheld. There was one unfriendly person at the reception and one at the breakfast counter. The rest of the staff was very friendly. What we liked: Good location, nice rooms with a good view, everything was very clean, most of the staff were very friendly.

We had a fantastic stay at the Millennium Downtown Hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We booked a junior suite, which was spacious, clean, and ideal for a small family – plenty of room to unwind after a busy day. The beds were honestly some of the best we’ve ever slept in – incredibly supportive and paired with luxurious feather pillows that made for an amazing night’s sleep. The air conditioning was quiet and effective, and we loved the dual-aspect views overlooking the city – a real treat to wake up to each morning. The housekeeping team was excellent, consistently attentive and efficient. Our room was always spotless and refreshed, which made a huge difference to our stay. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Financial District with easy access to major sights and excellent transport links. Whether you're heading uptown, across to Brooklyn, or down to the ferry, it’s all straightforward from here. While food options were a bit limited onsite due to ongoing renovations, there were plenty of fantastic local eateries and breakfast spots just steps away, so it never felt like an issue. The elevators ran smoothly, even during busy times, and overall the hotel had a professional and welcoming atmosphere throughout. We highly recommend the Millennium Downtown Hotel to anyone visiting New York – for comfort, convenience, and excellent service, it’s a great choice. We’d absolutely stay again in a heartbeat!

This is a great location 10/10!!! However, we stayed here for the weekend & the elevators on the tower side weren’t working. They didn’t warn people, several times people waited for an elevator that never came. A few of us were escorted by staff to the service elevator. We were fortunate to know of the “secret workaround” we were told they were being repaired Saturday. They were not. Sayurday night I came in late & one person was at reception & he told me NO, he is not allowed to let me into the service area. It was after midnight, I threatened to call management, he let me in. So here we are on Sunday, in the staff service area, lined up waiting for an elevator to get to our room. This is disgusting. Its unsightly, pretty sure corporate would not be pleased. Don’t stay here, they don’t have good communication with their staff or customers.

The rooms have been heavily updated very recently. The bathrooms are still slightly dated. It was cleaner than most NYC hotels BUT getting inside is a pain while it undergoes renovation as the main entrance is closed. Service was great and our room was cleaned each and every day. Location is absolutely phenomenal and probably one of the best places to stay if you want to be close to one of the most famous landmarks in the world and have access to the metro right next-door.

It’s an amazing hotel. I already stayed here 2x, and always had a nice stay. The staff members are nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and very well equipped. The view from our room was so beautiful! I will stay here again once I back to NYC. Highly recommend it! (There is renovating - re-branding going on)
