I had a great stay at YOTEL in Times Square! The highlight was definitely the staff—they were absolutely incredible. From check-in to checkout, every single person I interacted with was so helpful, friendly, and genuinely made me feel welcome. It’s rare to come across a team that goes above and beyond like that, and it made the experience so much smoother. The rooms themselves were comfortable for the price point. They’re not huge (as expected in NYC), but they’re designed smartly and had everything I needed. The bed was cozy, the space was clean, and it worked perfectly as a home base for exploring the city. I also really enjoyed the views—being right in Times Square, you get a true “New York” atmosphere right outside your window. It added a fun vibe to the stay and made the location even more special. Overall, YOTEL is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located hotel with fair pricing, great staff, and comfortable rooms.

So the location is great, price at booking was reasonable (for NY) and the bed was comfy, but there are just too many issues with this hotel to be able to rate it highly and reccomend it to anyone. I've stayed in two other Yotels (in London, UK) and the experience there was infinitely better. - Maintenance & Cleanliness - There were lots of little maintenance issues in the room we stayed in. The towel rail was non-functioning, the room and furnishings covered in scuffs and marks - generally a bit tatty. There was also significant black mould in the shower, which hadn't been cleaned off. - Resort Fee & Amenities - The mandatory $43.03 (inc tax) facility fee (per night, per room) delivered upon none of it's promises. The WiFi was slow, painfully so. On the website it stated free Tea & Coffee would be available - this was not the case. On many floors (including the one we were on) the water & ice station was not functioning. It's just a blatant money grab - a way of hiding $43/night on a room fee - shoddy business practice. - Service - Staff were relatively friendly, but certainly didn't do more than the minimum. I emailed about the Tea & Coffee and got no response for over a week, and when I did get a response, it was informing me my ticket had been closed, without a reply, promting for feedback. When asked in person, we were told it would be available on the first floor in the mornings, but it wasn't at any point in our stay.

Hotel is in a great location but rooms are small and very warm, there is a limiter on the aircon which meant the room was very stuffy although they did fix this after the second time we complained. The beds are super comfy but not a lot of space in the room when you fold the bed into sleeping position, we had a room on the 21st floor so at night the views are stunning with the city lights which I loved. The hotel has an automated check in which makes the hotel feel cheap. The toilet and shower are within the room (no real door separating just sliding glass) - tv is good with a lot of channels and there is a full length mirror in the room which is nice! I wouldn't rate this a 4 star hotel I would say 3 is more accurate

This is the only hotel I have stayed at in NY city so I dont really have much of an opinion. The parking was conveniently right below the hotel so it was easy to take the elevator up from the garage to the rooms, but the downfall was once in the garage you cant take the car out or get belongings from your car. The room had a nice view, it could have been a little cleaner, and there was no fridge. Also the bathroom door was just a glass door with no lock, that was kind of weird. The staff was awsome and very helpful, that is what srood out to me mostly.

The kiosks where you check in do not work and if you check in early you are charged for it. The staff at the front desk were not able to smile or engage in any conversation that welcomed me to the property. The hotel lobbies and elevators were overcrowded and cramped. The rooms were worn down and beat up, filled with rips in the furniture, stains, and cracks. The sink wouldn't stop running even after we turned it off. There was black mold in the shower. The size of the room was so small you can't even fit a bed in it - the bed folds up on the wall. Unfortunately, because the room was nonrefundable, I was not able to get any compensation from Booking.com or YOTEL, even after explaining to them that my boyfriend was immunocompromised and could not stay in a room with black mold in it. The only good thing about this hotel is their location. 10-15 years ago, they used to have a fun drag brunch, but I'm not sure if that is happening any longer. The initial lobby you enter does have a trendy feel to it at first sight as well. Also, your apology is meaningless without any compensation for jeopardizing the health and safety of your guests.
