Beautiful resort with tremendous staff.
The resort is a different concept, trying to recreate a Maldivian feel rather than being a generic Western resort that happens to be in the Maldives
I can't compare with other Maldives resorts as never been before but is certainly very different to Caribbean resorts we've been to
Lots of different activities to break the day up, so you don't have to spend all day on a white sand beach drinking cocktails while looking at a blue sky and turquoise sea!
The rooms are really comfortable and spotless, food delicious, entertainment good and the staff absolutely exceptional. Cannot speak highly enough of all the staff- lovely, friendly people

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Oaga for providing such a beautiful stay experience. Everything was exceptional, from the delicious food and comfortable rooms to the stunning artwork and attentive staff. Each aspect of my visit contributed to a memorable and enjoyable stay. The food was a delight, offering a variety of flavors that catered to all tastes. The rooms were not only comfortable but also thoughtfully designed, making for a restful and pleasant environment. The art throughout the premises added a unique and inspiring touch, enhancing the overall ambiance. Above all, the staff's dedication and hospitality truly stood out. Their friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made my stay even more special. Thank you once again for a wonderful experience.
With Best regards,
Shruthi & Angeline ❤️

Local island meets 5 star resorts meets art studio. This charming little island breaks the mould of high-end Maldivian island resorts.
The rooms are spacious, neat and well designed. Each category offers a different insight into Maldivian history and culture.
Among the regular amenities such as the watersports center, spa and children's playground, you will find an art studio, outdoor gymnasium and yoga pavilion.
You will definitely be thoroughly entertained by the daily activities which include, among others, beer and gin tasting, cocktail making lessons and live music bands. For the animal lovers there is a petting zoo with goats, bunnies, ducks parrots and more.
Ocean lovers will be delighted by the house reef which is healthy and bustling with sea creatures.
The main restaurant gives one a true Asian street food bazar feeling. The different cooking stations are set up to look like food stalls and the theme of the meals changes daily. There is however a permanent pizza and pasta station and burger bar from where one can order all their favourite comfort foods. Guests are also invited to indulge into the local cuisine by visiting the staff canteen.
The staff are all super friendly and very accommodating. They make you feel at home from the moment you set foot on the island.

My husband and I just returned from a 4 day break at this beautiful resort. From the moment we arrived, our super efficient and friendly butler Maftuna ensured that we were extremely well looked after!
The food was always great, and there was a lot of variety on offer! Your water sports team ensured we did not miss out on a snorkelling experience of the house reef despite our inexperience!
Our water villa was absolutely delightful and really thoughtfully laid out.
It will certainly help if you manage to get an intercom system in place along with a room service menu.
Thank you so much for a memorable experience!

We have recently come back from a week at Oaga and already looking to go back.
The island is in many ways different from most resorts but is an outstanding place.
The staff are excellent- polite and attentive, yet also down to earth and easy to talk to. Many of the staff are also involved in the various creative activities on the island such as art, music and dance. There are free activities to take part in everyday and also excellent evening entertainment with live music most nights.
The food is excellent and far superior to the usual all inclusive buffet. There are theoretically 3 restaurants but in reality they are all together. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant, with fruit, bread, pastries, meat, cheese, yoghurt, full English, pancakes, waffles, and omelettes cooked to order.
Lunch and dinner are across all 3 restaurants and have a daily changing selection including fresh homemade pasta, pizza, risotto, noodles, curry, thali, burgers, grilled meat and fresh fish, as well as a salad bar and dessert selection. The main meals are served from a variety of food counters, each with 3 or 4 options which you choose and the food is cooked fresh and brought to your table. You can also arrange special meals and private dining (extra cost), dinner in your room (included) and breakfast in your private pool (included). The head chef was also excellent at catering for my wife's dietary requirements (gluten free)- he made sure we knew what was gluten free every day (most dishes), made fresh bread and cakes, offered to cook anything extra she would like, and checking on us daily. Top marks.
The drinks selection is also excellent. A good range of hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks available 24/7, including in-room mini bar. The all inclusive drinks include branded beers and spirits, not just local drinks. The staff were also very happy to mix drinks not shown on the menu, again at no cost (despite the menu having prices).
Our room was a Bodu Haruge Beach Villa, on the south side of the island. The room itself was bright, spacious, and well equipped. The room has a bed, desk, seating, TV, safe, Aircond, mini fridge, international plug sockets and more. The resort also provides free flip flops, toiletries and bath robes. Overall the villa was excellent, excepting a few minor maintenance issues. The small plunge pool outside is ok though we tended to favour the sea as it was warmer. The small private beach space is a nice touch though it would have been nice if the sand had been raked to remove shells and dead coral, making it softer. As this side of the island is man made, the edge of the beach is sand bags stepping down into the ocean. It's not the most aesthetic but is not uncommon for the Maldives. On the flip side, this side of the island had the best snorkeling just outside the breakwater.
Talking of snorkelling, free snorkelling gear is provided for the duration of your stay and a free snorkelling tour is also included. There is a good variety of sea life (fish, reef sharks, dolphins etc) but the young reef doesn't have nearly as much life as some of the Maldives. There is a PADI dive centre on site but they don't operate dives everyday as this doesn't seem to be an island popular with divers. They do however have kayaks and paddleboards free to use everyday, and offer other excursions such as fishing trips and jet ski rides. Again we were impressed with how much was included for free.
Finally there is an extensive spa on the island, offering a range of treatments and experiences. Most of these treatments are chargeable, but there are some free elements including daily yoga, hot baths and more.
Overall Oaga is a bright and fun island, with excellent food and beverage, and even better staff. It has a more relaxed and artistic vibe than a lot of resorts, which may be less suited to an older audience or anyone expecting full 5 star luxury, but was a refreshing change of pace for us. We will be back!
