I had the chance to spend a week on Joy Island with my family. It was the most beautiful and incredible trip of my life.
We received a very warm welcome. Our hostess, Neen, took great care of us. She was available whenever we needed her.
There are lots of activities to do, for all tastes and ages.
There's a little club that the kids loved.
We were able to go snorkeling, kayaking, paddling and much more.
The whole island is very clean, and our villa was also very comfortable. Everything is designed to make you feel at home.
A big thank you to all the incredibly friendly staff. We ate very well throughout our stay. The cooks and waiters are really top-notch.
I'd also like to mention the singers who liven up the evenings - it was great to hear you.
Thank you all for these unforgettable memories. We hope with all our hearts to be able to come back.

I was thrilled to book my honeymoon at this hotel, eager to experience a luxurious getaway in the Maldives. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment upon discovering the misleading information on the hotel's website.
After reserving my honeymoon stay and investing a considerable amount, I eagerly anticipated my visit to this resort. As an avid traveler, I was looking forward to exploring a new destination. The website boasted complimentary speedboat transfers for up to two guests per room and special offers for honeymooners. These enticing promises persuaded me to make my reservation without hesitation.
Unfortunately, upon confirming my booking, I soon realized that the information provided on the website was far from accurate. Contrary to the advertised complimentary speedboat transfers, I was unexpectedly charged for these services upon arrival. Additionally, the honeymoon package offered no special perks beyond what was already included in my room reservation.
Disheartened by these discrepancies, I reached out to the hotel via email to express my concerns. However, the response I received was unsatisfactory. The hotel claimed that the offer for complimentary transfers was expired, despite it still being prominently displayed on the website's main page to lure potential guests. Furthermore, there was no acknowledgment or resolution offered regarding the lack of special amenities for honeymooners, such as a free couples massage.
This disappointing experience pales in comparison to the exceptional service I have received at other resorts in the Maldives. As a result, I am now considering canceling my reservation and exploring alternative accommodations for my honeymoon.

We finished our honeymoon staying at Joy Island Maldives and it was a magical experience. The facilities, food, service, and attention to every detail were excellent. We chose this hotel because we knew it was a brand new hotel that had recently opened a few months ago and we made the right decision. All the staff there were lovely; especially Neen, the staff member who we got assigned to help us with everything during our stay there. Thanks to her our experience there was one of the best of our lives. She helped us plan our stay to make the most of it and also ensured that everything was just perfect at all times. You could tell she always had our best interest at all times.

Our experience in Joy island was absolutely amazing. The resort is new and highly maintained, the staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful, the Market where the meals were served was superb offering a huge variety of dishes throughout the day every day, we especially liked the indian food corner and the superb fruit stand! The staff in the Market was so welcoming, and we can't thank them enough! Thank you Juni! The watersports staff was also great, patient and helpful and the fact that we could borrow the mask and fins for the whole stay was excellent. Habeeb, who was in charge of the volleyball, was so great and managed the game in an excellent way! We enjoyed the gym, padel, and tennis courts, which were highly maintained. The spa staff was also great offering so many treatments to choose from.
We enjoyed both the beach villa and the water villa, the different beaches on the island were magical! Our host Shiyadh was great and helped us a great deal during our stay, although it could be easier to book the different activities online directly instead of asking him to do that for us each time. Thank you Shiyadh! The snorkeling in the turtle island and coral garden was spectacular, and the staff was professional and kind! The Joy island was an absolute joy, and we enjoyed every minute there!

Beaches are beautiful and we discovered many areas where can do some great snorkelling just steps away from your villa. Sand is white and water as clear as you can expect from Maldives, postcards like.
The team is also very warm and kind and the GM Jay is very hands on.
We were assigned a butler to refer to during our stay, his name is Ashraf and he is definitely going to make your stay even better.
Food is was good across the different meals and the all inclusive formula worked very well for us travelling with a party of 6.
We opted for a family beach villa which consisted of block of two villas connected by a sliding door by the terrace side.
The location of the family beach villas is at the back of the main beach and while smaller in size vs main beach enjoys more privacy and a nice coral reef just steps away from your sun bed. So you are entertained by it everyday and you can get snorkel set for free from the water sport center.
We also tried the 2 hours private speed boat trip, and went out to turtle point and coral garden some 20 minutes ride from the resort. We loved that too.
Our 4 years old spent a lot of time at their kids club which organises plenty of activities to keep the little one busy.
Overall this is a great new resort and I would definitely recommend to families with kids.
