The Kandima Maldives Dine Around All-Inclusive programme includes the following:

  • Breakfast and lunch at Flavour or Zest restaurants
  • Dinner at Flavour, Zest or a three course dinner at Smoked, Sea Dragon or Azure from the special chef’s menu (booking recommended)
  • Unlimited selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during lunch and dinner and at Breeze Bar (10am to 12am), the Beach Club (10am to 6pm) and Forbidden Bar (7pm to 12am)

This was a bucket list destination, and it didn't disappoint in terms of its beauty and scenery. It was quite the journey to get here, but ultimately worth it. The resort itself is a thing of beauty, just like the pictures. The staff is incredibly helpful, and the rooms at the resort are exactly what you see as advertised. This is a very remote island, so if you're traveling with a picky toddler, make sure you travel with enough of whatever they like. The food, on the other hand, was lacking for my palette. I understand they cater more towards the crowd that visits them more often, but I expected a bit better. Carry a travel size hot sauce bottle with you, IYKYK🙃. But, the gentleman that made the Naan bread (incredible stuff!) at Flavour made our dinners more tolerable. I would say that breakfast was acceptable on most days we were there. Like I said, this is a remote island resort, and it's for total R&R. They offer some water activities, if interested, but most of the time you'll be enjoying your time in the beach or pool. Oh! They also offer a playroom and mini Waterpark-ish for kids which was nice for my toddler. Overall, it's a great place for total relaxation!

An absolutely amazing stay at Kandima Hotel Maldives! Everything was just perfect from start to finish. The food was outstanding – a huge variety and top quality. The beach is breathtaking, and the service is exceptional. A special highlight was the Kids Club – a huge thank you to Gigi and her team! You are truly amazing and made our kids’ stay unforgettable. But the heart and soul of the resort is definitely Manager Lucie. She is simply the best! Not only is she warm and welcoming, but she also made sure that every problem was solved quickly and efficiently. Her dedication, kindness, and attention to detail truly make a difference. We stayed at water villa, room is a bit small and old but very nice view of the ocean. Foods at buffet are not good, so better book the restaurants in advanced. Staffs are good and friendly, but management is not easy to deal with. Especially when the hotel is overbooked in peak season. Just a warning, our villa is facing outside (not beach side), the water current is very strong during high tide to drag you out to ocean, be very careful with your kids that you may not strong enough to swim back to villa against the current. More safe to goto the sea during low tide.

Amazing experience 👍👍👍 My husband and I enjoyed our stay. What an amazing service and the staff were extremely polite, helpful and just couldn’t do enough. Big Shout to JILLU for making sure we have our drinks sorted and served quickly with no fuss and whatsoever an absolute gentleman. To SONG, DEWI, UNIKA, YOON and the staff that makes sure our room is kept clean and stock in 317. Thank you for making our stay memorable and worth remembering. Your smile and warm welcome is so infectious that we will not forget. Worth visiting and the photographers were amazing for the stunning pictures we’ve taken back to the UK. The Filipino band were absolutely outstanding. Makes me so deadproud of my wife’s heritage. What a great experience. 👍 Well done.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Kandima Maldives – Would Not Recommend Our stay at Kandima Maldives was one of the most frustrating travel experiences we’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a special celebration turned into a series of disappointments, thanks to poor service and lack of proper management. From the moment we arrived, things started going wrong. Despite booking our rooms through TUI well in advance, we were informed at check-in that the rooms we paid for were not available. No proper explanation or apology—just a shrug and a “we’re fully booked.” We decided to make the most of it anyway, but the issues just kept piling up. Booking a restaurant for our group of six was another ordeal. We were told they could only book for four people, but when we arrived, they had tables for six and nine. We were still asked to wait so they could “rearrange” the tables, which made no sense at all. The “all-inclusive” experience turned out to be anything but. The next day, we were asked to pay for our child’s meal despite the package, and activity scheduling was a mess. We waited over two hours for a 10-minute parasailing session, and when we finally got to do jet skiing, it was 45 minutes late—and we weren’t even allowed to go alone due to supposed concerns about “damaging the jet ski.” By day four, our room still hadn’t been cleaned. We were constantly met with “Sorry, we’ll send someone right away” — but nothing changed. The minibar fridge barely worked, so drinks were always warm, and basic items like mint, bottled water, or even Coke were frequently unavailable. To top it all off, some of the staff were unprofessional and dismissive. This trip was meant to be a joyful 40th birthday celebration, but instead, it felt like a series of letdowns. Kandima might look beautiful on the surface, but the service and operations don’t match the luxury they promise. Sadly, we can’t recommend this resort to anyone looking for a smooth and relaxing experience. We sincerely hope management takes serious steps to improve.
