I stayed here while visiting NYC. My visit was very busy so the amenities of the room weren’t super important but if they were, I would not have chosen this hotel. There was no refrigerator. The room was small. Although it was small, it was somewhat updated and most of all, clean. The view from my room was basically another building which was somewhat understandable given its location which is convenient. The hotel overall was clean and not a bad stay. The door men were nice and kept the hotel secure. If you are just looking for a base and have a busy trip, it’s definitely not a bad place to stay.

Stayed in a 2 Queen Deluxe with my mom for 2 nights. Plenty of room for us both and a fridge. The view was of construction on the building next door so that was a bummer but it's not the hotels fault. The US Open is currently going on and if you ask the front desk, they'll give you a specially branded tennis ball as a free souvenir. The food at the Bronze Owl was just OK. You get $15 food and beverage credit per day of your stay, plus if you're a Gold or Diamond Hilton member you get an additional credit to combine. Basically 1 dinner & 1 breakfast was covered in full which was extremely helpful while traveling on a budget. The hotel is a 5 minute straight shot from Penn Station / Madison Square Garden. In Ktown so there's tons of great restaurants in walking distance. There's a full staff 24/7 which made me feel very safe. 10/10 stay, would definitely come back & recommend

Martinique was the first of the two hotels we stayed in New York this summer. Family had a good time here. The room was cramped, I felt like it is not worth the cost. The staff were kind, the additional 45 bucks or something (per night) they charge is not really worth it. The only good thing there is you get a 15 dollar credit per night which you can use at the cafe. Other than that, there is nothing much to say about Martinique. The location is good, walkable from Empire State building. Don't think we will visit again solely because the rooms weren't that good at all.

Our stay at the Martinique was OK. Location was pretty good. Would I return? No, there are much better hotels in NYC. We arrived for 3 days at the start of a US road trip. The first disappointment was that when we opened the curtains in our room, all we had was scaffolding and plastic sheeting so for our 3 night stay, we had to keep the curtains closed. The room with 2 queen beds was clean but very compact. Breakfast on day 1 was dreadful. We ordered 4 breakfasts; the least complicated being eggs on toast with a side of bacon and salmon and cream cheese bagel. The bagel came with no cream cheese, the eggs came with no toast. We queried this and it was like we were asking for the earth. The server was awful, suggesting she just gets extra toast (by which time the eggs would be cold) eventually asked to speak to the manager who agreed we hadn't received our order. She was good enough to clear our bill and we left without having eaten and chose to go elsewhere for the other mornings. On our departure day, the lady at reception was very rude and we left with a really poor overall view of the hotel. Needless to say, when we returned to NYC for our flight home, we chose to stay elsewhere.

Disappointing Experience — Not Up to Hilton Standards The hotel may be architecturally beautiful, but the service failed in a major way. After an unacceptable experience at The Bronze Owl (the restaurant attached to the property), I immediately reported the issue to the front desk. I was assured it was being “handled.” It wasn’t. The charge was quietly pushed through to my folio the next day, despite clearly communicating that we were not paying due to a total breakdown in service. This isn’t just a restaurant issue. It’s a hotel accountability issue. When guests bring serious service concerns to hotel staff, especially at a Hilton Curio Collection property, I expect resolution, not lip service. The hotel staff failed to follow through. That’s a direct hit to guest trust, service integrity, and brand standards. As a Hilton Diamond Member, this was not the level of professionalism or responsiveness I expect or pay for. The Martinique needs to take a hard look at how it supports its guests and whether it’s truly upholding Hilton’s reputation.
