Amazing location if you are looking for most famous sights this place is very convenient for every where you want to go Couple blocks away from Wall Street and Statue of Liberty ferry terminal and Brooklyn Bridge. We were there 5 hours earlier than we supposed to but the front table they let us check in early even without charging any money. They are serving a amazing breakfast too that saved us lots of time and money . Highly recommended if you are looking for a budget hotel. We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and we are really happy with it.

I highlight the amazing location just a few blocks distance from subway entrances, views of lower Manhattan and the riverfront! The breakfast is acceptable for a small buffet, but there were not enough tables, two days I had my breakfast in my room because of the crowded space. My perception is the elevators need more attention and maintenance.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express on 126 Water Street in the Financial District was unfortunately marred by a deeply troubling experience. What should have been a welcoming environment turned into an embarrassing and uncomfortable scene, revealing a distressing level of prejudice from the hotel management. As I waited in the small, crowded lobby, I noticed the slow pace at which the manager worked. The area was packed, with a line of guests waiting to check-in, and free coffee was available for those in need of a pick-me-up. Among the waiting guests was a tattoo artist, visually distinct from the others, patiently standing by to make arrangements for a room. To my shock, the manager, who seemed to be oscillating between working and sleeping, suddenly interrupted her lethargic routine to single out the tattoo artist. Despite six other guests accessing the complimentary coffee, she instructed him to dispose of his cup, asserting that it was for guests only. The artist, visibly upset, respectfully explained that he was trying to check in. The manager, however, seemed to derive a twisted satisfaction from the belittling interaction, making it painfully clear that her actions were rooted in prejudice against his ethnicity and appearance. The artist's dignity was compromised, and the scene was painfully uncomfortable to witness. The manager's behavior not only embarrassed the artist but also highlighted her ignorance and lack of basic decency. Hospitality should be synonymous with respect and inclusivity, yet this manager's actions were a stark contradiction. After the incident, the manager, unaware that I was within earshot, made light of the situation, joking about it as if she had simply done her job. This was particularly galling, given that several other guests, including foreigners, had accessed the coffee without issue. The blatant discrimination was appalling. This experience left me with a profound sense of discomfort and sadness. It was a stark reminder that some individuals, due to their prejudiced outlook, are ill-suited for roles in customer service. A manager in the hospitality industry must embody respect and common decency, qualities that were clearly lacking in this case. Perhaps a role in a non-customer facing position, such as agricultural labor, would be more fitting for someone who fails to understand the importance of treating all guests with dignity. Overall, the ordeal I witnessed at the Holiday Inn Express was a regrettable example of how prejudice and discrimination can tarnish what should be a positive and welcoming experience. It is my sincere hope that the management takes serious steps to address these issues, ensuring that all guests are treated with the respect they deserve.

This hotel has one of the most friendly receptionists I have ever met! We were originally booked in the hotel next doorbell when we saw the room they had to offer for 3 days we were mortified and refused to stay. We immediately went to the hotel next door, Holiday Inn Express and Anthony, one of their receptionists did everything possible to get us booked with them for 3 nights. With a bit of reshuffling it was sorted and we are truly grateful for that. The rooms are large, good bathroom, can't say anything about breakfast as we were never up early enough to have it due to late night partying!! Location was great and, Anthony is a credit to the hotel, many thanks to you. Jackie and Adrianna xx

Absolutely regretted making a hotel reservation here.We had issues with our entire stay. From the moment we entered the room it had a very strong MILDEW and MOLDY smell coming from the bathroom. It was very likely the bathroom/shower floors were not properly cleaned or sanitized.More than likely they did no replace the shower curtains either. It such an overwhelming and awful smell. We ended up having to leave our window open just to get fresh air in. The toilet seat and toilet lid was completely broken. It was frustrating and uncomfortable having to use the bathroom in our room. Our bedroom linen was dusty and had clear visible BLACK MOLD on our bedding sheets. If you have any respiratory issues, I would advise you NOT to stay here. There has to be some sort of a HEALTH CODE VIOLATION due to the MOLD and STRONG MILDEW smell. During our stay there we had ants crawling on the floors. We addressed all of our issues and concerns with the front desk associate. Unfortunately none of our serious issues were ever resolved during our stay. We have reached out multiple times with the Housekeeping director, front desk associates, and the manager at Holiday Inn. Our issues and complaint have been intentionally ignored and dismissed. We’ve reached out multiple times via Email and phone. We are still being ignored. One of the worst customer service experienced. It was definitely not a hospitable stay for us.
