Hi, we're about to leave. Room 1730 from October 15 to October 20. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Great location, good room, good daily cleaning, and daily towel changes. Excellent staff, although not all of the reception staff were a bit grumpy all the time. Haha, haha. Likewise, the hotel and all its staff are 100% recommendable. We'll come back on our next visit. Thank you very much.

Paid over $330 a night for a view of noisy aircon pipes, a dilapidated room & truly poor service. Not 4 star at all. Avoid. The Reception desk couldn’t be bothered to advise anything about facilities/breakfast vouchers or options/wifi/ice - basics. Wouldn’t even check if my room was available at 3.10pm instead of 4pm. Long queues at desks throughout the day as never all points manned. Lots of people asking for managers. The room looked like it was painted in the dark and had a dusty paint-spattered carpet & dirty drips. I know the room was not hoovered as crumbs left. I didn’t get cups until day 2, broken drawers, no mini-fridge (and this wasn’t cheap room we selected) and it was seriously hot with v large, noisy aircon. Felt dated & old, especially mouldy grout/bathroom sealant which you don’t expect at this price. Bathroom was teeny, mouldy, dirty….but a good shower. Hallways full of busy housekeeping trolleys & bags of dirty linen to navigate around all hours of day. Location was excellent for my office & Central Park/broadway. Bed v comfortable.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but I feel this hotel needs to be warned against. We stayed at the parkcentral 10 years ago and it was great as well as this weekend again. Unfortunately it seems nothing has been done to upkeep the hotel since we were last there. The mattresses are so old they sleep like hammocks I actually check if it was maybe a blow up mattress (which it was not, lol), no coffee maker, fridge or hair dryer in the room, towels had holes in them, AC didn’t work at all but is crazy loud, so we finally shut it off and opened the windows which created a disgusting smell from the restaurant vents in our room, view was of the interior rooms shaft, furniture is all banged up and carpet so dirty, water pressure was almost non existent. Housekeeping carts and dirty bags all throughout the hallways. Elevators are super slow. And our bathrooms was so tiny we could barely open the door, mirror was peeling badly. The front desk staff was friendly to each other but barely greeted us upon arrival. The luggage check staff was the only helpful and friendly group at the hotel. Very disappointing and uncomfortable stay. The only good thing is the location, close to beautiful Central Park and many other attractions. Right next door is WestHouse hotel which cost a bit more but well worth it! It feels like nobody is caring for or running this hotel at all. Sad!

⭐ ZERO STARS — Truly Horrible Experience at The Park Central I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my stay at The Park Central was so awful that I feel obligated to warn others. Our room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work. When we went to the front desk for help, they said maintenance would come “right up.” We waited over two hours, and no one ever showed. When we went down again to follow up, the woman at the desk didn’t even lift her head to acknowledge us — she just said “okay.” There were no towels or soap in the bathroom, and a giant hairball left in the trash. The heat made me physically ill, and our room phone didn’t even work to call the front desk. We ended up booking an earlier flight just to get out of the hotel. On checkout, one kind employee finally spoke to us and confirmed there was no record whatsoever of our complaint in the system. That was the final insult. I paid over $700 per night for this room and expected at least basic hospitality. Instead, it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had — disorganized, unhygienic, and completely unresponsive staff. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Zero stars if I could give them less.

I’m a 22 year old solo female traveller who came to america for the first time. Wasn’t pleased about the extra $300 deposit and $150 destination fee that was expected at the desk when i arrived but apparently thats normal for manhatten hotels. My room was very big and my tv had friends and the big bang theory on every night. Room had no kettle or fridge which means you spend lots of money on food. The hotel supermarket in the lobby is twice as expensive so i regret using it although choice was nice. Location was a dream, felt very safe in manhatten & able to walk quickly to all places from hotel. The bath plug was filthy, every time i tried to fill up the bath it spat out gunk. I tried on three separate nights and tried to clean it out myself but no luck. Housekeeping come each day & do a really good job otherwize. However, the air con can only be adjusted. Even when i turned it OFF it remained on so i had to sleep it aircon air for days and it was hard to breathe. Some nights the machine was so loud it woke me up or it got too hot in the room. The windows also do not open?? so i would rush downstairs each morning just to get some fresh air and not feel cooped up. Overall it was a pleasant and safe experience for me, no horror story at all compared to some stays in new york. It is good & there are just little tweaks. Thank you, i might try elsewhere next time thats all
