This is a beautiful resort in a wonderful location, but that’s the only positive here. Every employee is miserable and treats you like an inconvenience. By far the worst hospitality we’ve experienced in the Caribbean. The service alone ruined the trip.
The buffets are inadequate, overcrowded and low quality. Food trays were routinely empty and slow to be refilled. Drinks are served in old, beat up, cracked plastic cups.
The coffee shop? It takes about five minutes per customer. We waited forty minutes in a short line for coffee… and it was only offered in small cups! Absolute waste of time.
If you stay here, come for the view only.

Not a great trip for our family of 7 with 3 rooms ocean front.
Mosquitos in all 3 of our rooms with doors that don't seal, so more come in every night. Shower were luke warm. Bathrooms had no place to put your toiletries, just 2 pedestal sinks. I've been to many Islands and understand island time, but 45 minutes at Cocos restaurant that requires reservations before your first drinks come is not Island time. Waited another 1.5 hours to get food after being sat at the Dockside for lunch. The help just don't care and it's obvious. Any request is met with angst. I would stay away from this resort and I definitely won't be back. To bad since the resort location isn't a bad place. Fix the service mentality and fix the resort.

Hotel Review – St. James Club (25.12.24 – 04.01.25, Room 243, Royal Suite Category)
Overall Rating:
Good – with significant shortcomings and room for improvement.
1. Location
• Rating: Very good
• Details:
The location of the hotel is excellent, easily accessible, and only 30 minutes from the airport. However, the paved road leading to the hotel was riddled with potholes. The surrounding area boasts stunning beaches, breathtaking views, and some local attractions. The transfer was smooth and hassle-free.
2. Room
• Rating: Good
• Details:
The Royal Suite was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony offering a beautiful view of the bay. However, many features in the room were broken: drawers wouldn’t close, there was no fresh water or beverages in the minibar, and the TV offered only around 10 US channels. The bathroom was outdated, with a shower that barely provided warm water and had low water pressure.
At €600 per night per room (a total of €1,200 per night for two rooms), we expected a much higher standard.
3. Service
• Rating: Mediocre
• Details:
The staff was friendly and willing to help but often poorly trained and extremely slow. Orders were frequently forgotten or incorrect. In the restaurants, waiting times for meals ranged from 1–2 hours. The kitchen was a major disappointment, with poorly prepared dishes that were either overcooked, burnt, or tasteless. Even the fruit was unripe, and the meat was tough like leather.
The only redeeming experience was at the à la carte restaurant Piccolo, which offered good food and service – but at an additional cost. All other dining options were subpar.
4. Cleanliness
• Rating: Poor
• Details:
The cleanliness of the hotel was inadequate. Rooms were only superficially cleaned, and public areas like the pool and restaurant were often dirty. For a hotel of this price and standard, this was unacceptable.
5. Food & Beverages
• Rating: Bad
• Details:
The quality of the food was extremely disappointing. The breakfast buffet was poor, except for the freshly prepared omelets, which were decent. Fruits were unripe, fish was overcooked, vegetables were mushy, and meats were overdone and tough. Vegetarian and vegan options were non-existent, and the drink selection was limited and mediocre.
Despite being all-inclusive, the dining experience was a disaster, and the hotel should seriously consider hiring a better chef.
6. Amenities
• Rating: Fair
• Details:
The pool area was nice, but the fitness center was outdated. The Wi-Fi worked most of the time but was slow during peak hours. While the amenities were available, they were not up to the expected standard for a 4-star hotel.
7. Value for Money
• Rating: Poor
• Details:
At €600 per night, the price was not justified given the poor service, low food quality, and outdated facilities. Even additional services like spa treatments were overpriced.
8. Overall Impression
• Rating: Fair
• Details:
Although the location and the view from the balcony were highlights, the overall experience was marred by poor service, lack of cleanliness, and substandard food quality. The hotel’s disorganization, such as long lines just for a cappuccino (waiting 30–50 minutes), was frustrating.
We cannot recommend this hotel and will not return in the future. For the price charged, the quality and services offered were far below expectations.

When you're used to european service. Dont come here. Here are only americans. Often you need to wait to get a table instead of just walking in you're often waiting in a line. Room service only all 2 Days. In the Restaurant ,, Eleven 11'' I've waited 15 minutes for my drink. Most of the employess are friendly but some are not. The food is okay for me but if you like more exclusive food thats not the right place. We arrived and went watching the pool it was already 6 p.m. at the pool at every table were empty glasses and some half full glasses which were not taken away, I had a cultur shock when I saw this. Im here with my dad and mom we have one room and my bed is on wheels, when I sit on the bed it feels like I fall into it. The room is very old and not modern.

Right on marmora bay, and the beach on the ocean. Resort is beautiful tons of activities for the kids daily, many pools all over, bars and restaurants. Little pricey but your in vacation so you gotta treat ya self! Definitely one of the nicer resorts on the island. Room service keeps the room stocked with what you need and every employee is extremely nice and helpful! Really enjoyed my stay.
