We had a great stay here in 2022 during Covid. The rooms are clean and well appointed, with ocean views. The food was authentic and very good, if you have ever had the chance to taste Goat Water you will know how great the local cuisine is in Antigua... Fantastic flavours. We made a comment to one of our servers that the music being played at the resort was American, not Antiguan in any way and that we appreciate local culture and music when we visit other countries. The next morning the GM of the resort sat down with us and asked us about our thoughts in this regard. The next morning at breakfast they were playing Soca (a local favourite music) and reggae (tourist could relate to). Good for them for doing their best... And good for us for enjoying this great experience at this resort. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone. Robert Barrett was on site personally managing everything, good on him. We appreciated it all.

I was so excited for my upcoming trip at the Verandah in Antigua on 5/31/2025. On arrival I was offered fruit punch, green bag and a resort map. After 2 nights there I decided to read the reviews of the property and I must say I highly agree with Dakota C. , Chris L. And Kim. My room, property grounds and main pool was lovely. Food was basically same every day at buffet. Drinks at bars were off brand and low quality. ADIÓ the entertainer was fantastic as well as a handful of staff. Nicole Restaurant and the daily 25.00 resort fee is Not part of the all inclusive plan.

The Verandah Antigua gave us our perfect honeymoon! Privacy: The suites have two rooms to a building, so you don't have the noise and crowding of a standard hotel. The rooms feel private and quiet, and come with your own private balcony section. We got the superior waterfront king room, and highly recommend it- you can't beat the view! Cleanliness: Every inch of the property was spotless. Even the bathrooms at the beaches and the pools were immaculate. Property: The landscaping is beautiful. You're surrounded by palm and banana trees, making you feel like you are in your own tropical paradise. It's also rather spread out, so if you like walking, you can stay active. If you have mobility challenges or are tired, they have golf carts and you can request a ride at any time. Crowds & Noise: Even though it is a large resort, it never felt crowded. There were always beach and pool chairs available. Even the large dining hall was never packed or noisy. The fact that it is adults only also helps with the relaxed, romantic feel. Activities: They have thought of plenty of activities so you will never be bored. Between the two beaches, water sports, multiple pools, fitness center, spa, restaurants, game areas, tennis and pickle ball quarts, mini golf, and a full schedule of daily activities, you will run out of time before you run out of things to do. And even if you do get stir crazy, there are many great options for excursions, with knowledgeable staff to help you pick out what you are looking for (shout out to Gem!) Staff: All the staff were wonderful. Everyone was kind and professional. Food: We can't finish a review without talking about the food. They have options for every diet/preference. The buffet is amazing! Everything was DELICIOUS, cooked to perfection, at the perfect temperature. For example, for breakfast you can get everything from your standard pancakes or gluten free muffins for breakfast, to more adventurous local options like steamed plantains and salt fish and ackee. Overall: We cannot recommend the Verandah enough. We will certainly be back!

This is NOT a 4 star resort. The rooms are maybe a 3 star. I usually only stay at 4 star or higher. The food was a 3 star. There’s no room service everyday. It’s only every other day. There’s no drink or food service at the pools or on the beach. Good place on a budget. The staff were all amazing. There’s information about the property and the restaurants that we had to learn about after we arrived. If you don’t ask, they don’t share. We got the ocean front rooms near the main pool. That’s your best option, so that you are close to the best part of the property. The property is 30 acres big. Very disappointing. Im from New York City. So I know good food. I hate to leave a bad review.

We stayed for 6 nights in March and really loved our time! The resort is very well kept and clean. Beds are very comfortable and bathroom is roomy. Rika and Risa on the service team are fantastic and we had so much fun getting to know them! Leon at the main bar is great and makes the best drinks! The tour desk is very helpful and helped us book 3 excursions including Shirley heights, the Calypsos cat, and a private fishing tour! The restaurants are wonderful. We ate at every option, and were very impressed with the food. We wish there were more variety in breakfast options but other than that we enjoyed the food! We will for sure be returning!
