The hotel looks good on the surface, but is lacking in quality of services, food and amenities. We up graded to the Diamond Club and it wasn’t worth it. Couldn’t get top shelf liquor at the restaurants and all the other benefits were mediocre at best. Butler service was spotty and unreliable. Food was awful even at the “high-end” restaurant (Piscari). They charge a $80 per person premium and the food and service sucked. Service across the board was sub par. The staff wasn’t friendly and did the bare minimum. Restaurant staff was horrible and everything we asked was an inconvenience. Just trying to modify a dish was incredibly difficult. A plus side, they have an awesome gym. Great equipment, super clean and spacious. I would say it’s a great hotel if you want to sit by the pool and drink watered down drinks or local beer.

Firstly I want to say... the location and beach are BEAUTIFUL!!! The resort however is a solid 3.5 star. There are some workers here who you can tell love what they do. There are some who are 11 STARS out of 10... for example Shamoi (aka Moy Moy) he is part of the Vibe team and he went OVER AND ABOVE for me and my friends. And Ice QUEEN our favorite DJ EVER she kept us dancing all night long we absotely loved her!! Also our housekeeper Wendy was also very wonderful she was so kind every time she saw us. She would get us anything that we needed, etc... Then there are some workers who make you feel like you are an inconvenience. This resort is SMALL, but it is good enough. The absolute best part of my trip was the beauty surrounding the resort, the beach, the soft sand, watching cruise ships pass by, and also, the AMAZING guests! It seems like all the guests that were there during that week of our stay all became like family momentarily and that was so great and the vibes were amazing. So the drinks weren't always available.... when food ran out at the buffet that would be that.... However all in all I had an amazing vacation thanks to the friends I traveled there with and the new friends I made. Would I return? It would definitely depend on what kind of deal or discount there was because at $3500.00 CAD its not worth it to me personally.

****UPDATE*** How long does it take to get a response? I sent an email and tried to call on another issue but noone answers call, voicemails ate full so I can't leave a message. Frederick Sengewitz I stayed at your resort 1/30-2/3 along with 16 other friends celebrating one of their 60th birthday. I asked to speak with you personally but was denied due to the hierarchy. I spoke with the manager of the diamond club. I explained the inadequate service, the less than desirable food and horrible attitudes of the female staff towards us. By the time I eventually complained my only ask was that extra care was given to our final night for her birthday dinner at the steakhouse. We were a large party so we were sat at two large tables, not an issue. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a manager named Saundra, who told us to ask for her if there were any issues. When I realized that the server for birthday girl had not kept up with server for the other table, I asked for Saundra, again I was denied the opportunity to speak with her. I will say my server Dale was excellent but again the food fell short. Several ladies that ordered steak fell ill that night. There was also a driver named Kevin who was very nice and accommodating.

The absolute best all inclusive experience I have had! The drinks were top notch at every bar, the food was great, and the staff made everything even better! Shout out to the luggage porters, the vibes team, and all the amazing bartenders for providing such a lovely experience. I highly recommend booking a treatment at the spa- the amenities are 10/10 and the massage was amazing! The gym and workout classes were really good as well. I didn’t get to try everything, but I loved all the activities they had planned. The nightly entertainment is great, and they make sure you have a fun time! I traveled solo and had a great time, all the staff made me feel very comfortable and I will definitely be returning. I was a bit worried about how the food would be before I got there- I was only there for a short trip and didn’t have much time to go off the resort for food. I was pleasantly surprised by everything I ate- I didn’t expect to like it much, but it was at the very least, good and real food. I mostly stuck to the cultural dishes at the buffet, enjoyed my steak at the steakhouse, liked the Caribbean restaurant and the beachside lunch spot. The food truck and the jerk chicken at the beach was fire! I was really impressed by all the cocktails I tried- everything tasted great and was strong af. I advise tourists to visit the Royalton Antigua with an open mind- you are interacting with real people who are welcoming you to their home! Hiccups can happen, and your idea of “paradise” is someone’s reality. Everything won’t always be perfect, but at the Royalton, they strive to make every day feel like a great one. Be mindful of where you are and the energy you are bringing. The Royalton Antigua will reward you with a great stay.

All in all we loved our stay here at the Royalton antigua. There grounds are lovely! The pools, and beach were beyond beautiful! We had 2 butlers that were very kind to us and pampered us with wine in our room and making our dinner reservations(which was a bonus). Our maids on our floor were such hard workers and always greeted us with a smile and a hello. Where our review goes down a bit is with the servers in the restaurants and the food. A majority of the servers looked like they didn't want to be there. Couldn't get a smile out of them at all! So sad. Two of the restaurants we were very disappointed in the food. Not 5 start by far! We did love the Grazie restaurant for food and the service! Menus are so limited so when you are there for 2 weeks you are not getting much variety. We actually ate at buffet more than expected so we could order food cooked fresh such as pasta or eggs. I We are just questioning that the Royalton are treating their employees with respect and pay them what they deserve! Especially the servers!
