The flight from the UK to Dubai is generally around seven hours. Direct flights are available from airports including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Birmingham.
Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, British Airways and Qantas Airways all offer direct flights from the UK to Dubai.

Drinking alcohol is legal in Dubai, as long as it's consumed in private (e.g. within your own accommodation) or on licensed public premises. It's illegal to drink alcohol in public or to appear to be under the influence of alcohol in public.
The legal drinking age in Dubai is 21.
The official language of Dubai is Arabic. Hindi and English are also widely spoken, amongst other languages.
Taxis are generally considered the best option for getting into Dubai from the airport, with the meter starting from AED 25 (around £6). Or if you have no more than two pieces of luggage, you can take the Dubai Metro from the airport’s terminal stations.

Hiring a car is one of the most popular ways to travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. You can also book a group or private tour, or take a taxi. The journey by taxi usually takes approximately 2 hours.
