5-star Hua Hin and Cha Am holidays

Thailand’s most luxurious beach destinations, Hua Hin and Cha Am are the perfect choice for 5-star relaxation.

Holidays to Hua Hin are perfect for all holiday types, including romantic escapes and activity-filled family breaks. Visitors will find it hard to believe that this bustling seaside resort was once a quiet fishing village.

The resort focuses around Hua Hin Beach, where a wide selection of restaurants, bars, spas and shops can be found. The beach is also the best place to catch a marine tour or boat ride.

Adventurous holidaymakers may even want to take up scuba diving lessons at one of the area’s many dive centres. Various water sports, including kiteboarding, are also available to those wanting to test their nerve on the waves!

Khao-Lak

One of Hua Hin’s most famed attractions is the night market – a bustling myriad of sounds, sights and smells. The market is a great for local souvenirs and is a brilliant place to sample local street food specialities, including steamed crab.

Hua Hin is home to a number of theme parks, including the Black Mountain Water Park or jungle-themed Vana Nava Park!

A visit to this part of Thailand is not complete without a tour of the area’s many historical landmarks and ancient sites. Most famous of these is the splendid Hua Hin Railway Station. The station was built in the 1920s and is still in use today.

Those hoping to see one of Thailand’s iconic Big Buddha statutes will want to head 10km west of Hua Hin to the Wat Huay Mongkol Temple. The iconic religious site boasts the world’s biggest statue of Buddhist monk Luang Phor Thuad and is a well- known pilgrimage site.

Visitors to Cha-am will find a plethora of ancient temples, Buddhist monuments and royal buildings, including the Maruekhathayawan Palace. The historic palace was built in 1923 and used as a summer retreat for the illustrious King Rama VI.

Among other noteworthy Cha-am landmarks is the King Naresuan statue, located to the north of the region. This beautiful monument pays tribute to King Naresuan the Great, who reigned from 1590 to 1605.

Cha Am

A few metres along is the magnificent Neranchararam temple, which features a large-scale six-armed Buddha. The unique statue is carved so that the Buddha’s hands cover it’s bodily channels, including its eyes and ears. It’s widely believed that this represents the absence of passion.

Those looking to explore more of Thailand’s scenic landscapes will want to visit the Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park. It’s here that holidaymakers will find fantastic trails and hikes around a breath-taking landscape that encompasses dramatic cliff faces, deep caves and towering mountains.

Of course, no holiday resort is complete without a theme park! Cha-am’s Santorini Park is a unique take on a Greek island. Visitors to the park will find a whole-range of attractions, from a 40-metre Ferris wheel to number of fun water slides, as well as souvenir shops, boutiques and restaurants.
