The Medhufushi Island Resort all-inclusive programme includes the following:

  • Breakfast at the main restaurant
  • Lunch served at the main restaurant
  • Afternoon tea with snacks served at the a la carte restaurant

  • Bottled water and drinks served by glass, including soft drinks, cocktails, beer, house wine and selected pouring spirits (10am to 12midnight, drinks served after 12midnight will be charged at normal rate)
  • Minibar, with soft drinks and water (refilled daily)

  • 20% discount on meals at the a la carte restaurant if the bill exceeds US$50

Me and my family spent a wonderful time here at Medhufushi Island Resort in October 2024. The island resort provides two accommodation options: Beach Villa and Island Villa. I highly recommend the experience of both the accommodations while at the island (if possible 2 nights each). This resort is a comparatively old island resort compared to newer resorts at other islands but it is well-maintained with very good hospitality. The buffet food was provided three times a day with hundreds of options to choose from and the food was delicious as well. Loved it here. Kudos to the management.

Medhufushi is one of the best resorts I’ve ever been to, it truly feels like heaven. From the moment I arrived until I left the property, everything was perfect. Whether it was the room, food, or activities, everything exceeded expectations. The multi-cuisine food was fantastic, with plenty of options even for vegetarians. I loved every bit of it, and even the drinks were absolutely delicious! The property is vast, and the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The staff were extremely courteous, especially in the bar and restaurant areas. The pool was beautiful, and the nighttime lighting made the whole place look magical. The water villa was also spacious, well-maintained, and a joy to stay in. But we were asked to check out by 5.30 am as the ferry was arranged at 6 am in the morning which we got only in the night. The only downside was the scuba diving experience. We paid $160 per person, plus $40 for a camera that was only 12 megapixels, which wasn’t worth it. While we were told the dive would be 40 minutes, we were out in just 18 minutes. Still, the experience itself was magical and worth remembering I definitely recommend this place to everyone and will visit again. This resort is excellent for chilling. It is so serene and tranquil. There are activities to be done but if one were to relax by the beach, one can do so and connect with nature with no interuptions. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are extra friendly and very helpful. We were served fresh coconut juice as we were chilling by the beach at no cost. Food served at the restaurant were delicious and had a lot of variety.

Me and my family came to Medhufushi just last week and we were happy with our choice of resort. We arrived with the plane on the way to the resort and were immediately greeted with a drink, they then brought us to the rooms. We took the beach villas which had an incredible view alongside being immersed in trees and plants. The rooms are spacious however, some maintenance should be done, not only regarding the rooms but especially in the common areas. The wood paneling of the pool was something we noticed as being particularly worn which should be changed. The towels used sometimes were particularly worn (in some cases with holes). The main activity that we did during our time on the island was snorkeling which was worth it. During the snorkeling excursion, we saw dolphins and sharks and even managed to see some as we swam. Another truly impressive part of the resort was the care the staff had to meet every need we had. Having a person with gluten allergy we did not expect to be treated with such great care. The head chef Anukmar alongside all of his staff made the experience of breakfast and dinner great. They went out of their way to prepare gluten-free pancakes in the morning and even showed around the buffet every night to indicate the gluten-free foods. Although the staff for the rooms and other spaces was nothing short of kind and fast we had a few problems with the staff at the reception. This is a simple resort which is ideal for those who want a quite vacation while appreciating nature.

Wee are currently on our first week here a fortunately we have another week. What a lovely place. We can’t fault it at all. All the staff a friendly and welcoming, everywhere is spotless and the food fantastic. We honestly do not know why some people have given bad reviews! Yes the resort is not new but for us it adds to the rustic charm. As for the staff being rude this is simply not the case, some of the guests treat the staff as if their slaves so what would you expect. You should treat others how you would like to be treated yourself. We’ve stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and for us it’s up there . A big thanks to all the lovely staff, you are what makes this resort what it is
