My opinion is that you should avoid this hotel until the construction is done. They tell you on the website that there are some room upgrades going on, but that does not adequately describe the scale of construction. I had booked the Intercon hotel next door, but then I changed my mind and paid more to stay here because the dive centre is on-site and I'm here for diving... That was a mistake. The worst thing for me is the seemingly random restaurant closures. I tried to go to the Thai Taste restaurant yesterday and they had closed it. I tried to go the the beach grill today and now that is closed. I have spent the last 3 days permanently hungry. I expect that this is because the hotel seems to cater to all-inclusive packages. The quality of food (when you can find it) is ok, but it's better suited for dining in the 1990's. Oh the upside the staff are excellent. They got me into a room almost immediately after arrival, despite the chaos at the make-shift reception desk that has been setup during construction. I absolutely cannot fault the staff. Attentive and cheerful they are lovely to be around. This will be a nice place to stay again after the construction has finished

The children’s facilities and activities were fantastic, allowing the whole family to relax and enjoy quality time together. Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort is simply extraordinary! Every stay is perfect — from the managers and reception to the chefs, housekeeping, staff, and lifeguards, everyone goes above and beyond. The rooms are newly renovated and are very spacious and stylish. Great views of the mountain backdrop and the sea. Lobby area is being renovated so it didn’t look so good when I was there. Nevertheless, the pool was the unique selling point as it was huge and mostly deep 1.8meters. A few restaurants to choose from including Thai,Italian and seafood BBQ.

The hotel itself is nice, we had some misunderstandings but the management was open to communicate - I think this is important as it can happen in any place. The most important how it was solved. I was choosing in between a few hotels in Fujairah specifically on Al Aqah beach, I wanted Miramar or Address and called to each hotel reservations number discussing the options as I wanted all inclusive or at least half board. And only in this hotel Le Royal Meridien Al Aqah the lady on the phone was extremely nice she gave me all the proper info and asked me if this is the stay for any special occasion, I told her yes it is for my birthday, and I am bringing my mom specifically for this and want to make for her a nice vacation. So i would emphasize on an easy booking process and attention to details during your booking. I really loved the customer service at the dining area, the chef is from Uzbekistan he was also very attentive to us and the choice of meals and the servings were great! So I would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing vacation with tasty breakfast and dinner. The good things are - new clean rooms. But get ready if you come in November u will find lots of renovation noise.
