We just got back from our holiday at Las Aguilas and, although it is not perfect, overall we were happy with our stay.
Let me start with the pros:
- beautiful Mountain View from our room
- spacious rooms
- big balcony in room
- nice whirlpool tub although it’s a little dated
- delicious food ! Loved the choice, but only had breakfast and dinner as we were half board
- staff were generally friendly and helpful. Our requests were dealt with in a timely manner.
Cons:
- it could really do with an interior renovation. They’ve clearly done some work on certain areas, like the restaurant, but the rooms and lobby etc look a little dated.
- the double bed was just two singles pushed together. They kept coming apart. Not the worst thing in the world but slightly annoying.
- would be good to have more choice of pillows would be good as you only get one which is a little firm
- the pools were sadly too cold to swim in. The only warm pool was the kids pool which was very small.
- the kitchenette is not equipped with anything at all ! Only a fridge. Not even a microwave. Some basic utensils would be nice. Would also be good to not be charged $5 a day for a kettle; we needed it to prepare my daughter’s formula.
- it is very hard to access the hotel without a car ! So be prepared to rent a car/use their shuttle service or book a taxi, unless you like walking up and down very steep hills.
As mentioned, we were overall happy with our stay. With some work, this hotel could be absolutely amazing !

Had a lovely stay at this hotel..rooms are a little dated but its an apartment so plenty of space with a child rather than a cramped room. Food was lovely with some nice touches like real hot chocolate for breakfast plus prosecco available some days at breakfast..meats and fish, omelettes and pancakes cooked fresh..dining/kitchen/cleaning staff were great. There is a real emphasis on cleaning at this hotel and although a hotel which is used more as a base with a car required i would choose to stay again. Lovely views from both sides of the hotel. Ice cream would be a bonus with dinner. No charge or issue with parking in the hotel car park. Books in all languages available to read in the quiet upstairs seating area. Pool table was nice, also. Perhaps another upstairs would be good. Really pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel, amazing staff, amazing location ( if you don't need access to the beach) on top of the hill with fantastic views. We stayed in Premier suites and can not fail a single thing. Lovely room with everything you may need plus you get reserved table for breakfast and dinner and there's a waiter to serve you fresh orange juice or Cava or whatever you like. Definitely will be back. Thank you guys

Overall enjoyed the stay. Would recommend to pay a bit extra and get a premium room, it comes with drinks service at the buffet and a separate a lot more quiet room to eat in. Also you get 1 complimentary dinner at Italian restaurant which serves amazing food.
Positives:
-Great see view
-Nice clean room serviced everyday
-Great friendly staff
-Free shuttle bus to and from Town
Negatives or room for improvement:
-Very thin walls, can hear an actual conversation across the wall, we had trouble sleeping.
-Buffet could do with a bit more variation, but overall it was not too bad.
-Hotel doesnt have a first aid kit. I had an accident while hiking and was hoping for some help when I came back to the hotel. I had to go out again to the pharmacy to get supplies.
In summary it was ok, but wouldnt stay here again just because of the thin walls alone, I value my sleep the most.

I am leaving this review to call out this hotel on its food waste management. We have had dinner at the hotel once and huge portions were thrown away by the employees. What was even more problematic is that in the morning, we left some plates (that were still full) on our table while we were getting a cup of tea. When we returned (2 minutes later), everything had been thrown away! Not sure about the laws of Spain on the issue, but something needs to be done about the culture of food waste in this hotel, and that is the reason why I am leaving this review. (The rest of the hotel is fine.)
