We spent a ten-night holiday here. Overall we enjoyed a lot. We were assigned to a very spacious room with two balconies, both facing the sea and garden. The surroundings (garden, lanes and beach) are well kept, clean and tidy. It is place for enjoying sunshine and relaxing moments. It's definitely not the place for people seeking city bustle. Staff are polite and supportive.

The location is absolutely stunning and peaceful. The place is big, spacious, and when I went, there were barely any tourists, which made it feel private and calm. During low tide, you can actually walk far into the sea, which is such a beautiful experience. The food was limited, especially for vegetarians, and the barman was not very helpful when I asked about the specialty; she just mentioned to look at the menu. The room was okay, but the AC was not working, and as a couple, we were given twin beds with no option to change. The hotel could use a bit of renovation, but the pool, garden, and sea view are lovely. Overall, it is a good spot if you are looking for peace and scenery rather than luxury.

Room was cozy but my bathroom had a stench. Receptionist and the valets were welcoming and showed us hospitality, unlike the staffs who served us during tea time. This man had an arrogant look and speaked in a harsh way. Scenery, beautiful. Overall, it would had been a pleasant place to stay if the management took time to fix the plumbing problem in the bathroom that caused a stench, and if they had trained staffs.

We have stayed at Jalsa Beach Hotel and Spa at the beginning of November for 9 nights (room 220). For us (a couple) who seek quiet, tranquil, and close-to-nature places, it was a fantastic choice. We loved our stay at the hotel! Bearing in mind that this is a 3-star hotel (and what it can offer), please don’t visit if you have expectations of a 5-star hotel and then be disappointed. Beach: It is a bit different experience, as there is not much of the beach, but I don’t think we missed it much, as the “bay” offered plenty of fun in the (shallow) water, where you could walk far and be surrounded by water, just standing there. Hotel: In our opinion, the hotel is adequate for its 3-star rating, which is not a bad thing. We enjoyed our stay there, and because it’s a small hotel, it felt more private. Most of the staff members remember you, are helpful, and smile all the time. It's nice and quiet, no loud music…you can finally unwind, relax, and hear birds singing! There are water stations, where you can refill your water bottles. It can be different for each person, but we tend to treat a hotel as the place where we can stay, eat, and sleep…and most of the time during the day, we are exploring the island! Which led me to the next point.: Transport: You need to try catching a bus! It's such a fun experience! (and cheap 70 MRU for two people (~£1.1GBP), one way to Flacq). The main bus line next to the hotel is bus No 26 (runs every 40 min (ish). I highly recommend visiting Flacq, exploring the town, and stopping by the supermarket (SuperU), as well as the bazaar, to experience a lively city with street shops. Wildlife: If you are a wildlife fan, hobbyist, or wildlife photographer, this is your spot! Shallow waters, mangroves, plenty of trees, and a National Park on the doorstep. It's just a paradise. I have been waking up nearly every day before 6 AM to spend a few hours with the camera exploring surroundings ..and oh boy, I was not disappointed. Thank you, “Jalsa” for a great holiday 😊

A lovely resort. There's a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff are very courteous. The private beach is rather windy and not very large. They have a children's playground, which is a nice addition for families of young children.
