The Tamassa all-inclusive programme includes the following:

  • Breakfast at Show
  • Lunch in the hotel’s restaurants or a picnic basket for guests on excursions (24-hour notice required)
  • Dinner at Show (buffet) or Playa (a la carte, for guests staying in Superior Rooms, Ocean Superior Rooms, Tamassa Family Rooms and Family Suites) – the hotel reserves the right to close one restaurant throughout the year
  • Guests staying in Tamassa Rooms get a 20% discount at Playa for lunch and dinner (applicable on food only)
  • Afternoon tea served every day at B-Bar (3.30pm to 4.30pm)
  • Drinks in all restaurants and bars, including soft drinks, tea, coffee, beers, wines, juices, mineral water, cocktails and liquors (until 12 midnight, daily)
  • In-room tea and coffee-making facilities
  • Minibar, filled with water, juices, soft drinks and beers, refilled once a day
  • Beach and poolside service as per the hotel schedule
  • 24-hour room service (tray charge applies)

We came to celebrate my mum’s birthday, and unfortunately it turned out to be one of the worst experiences we’ve had in a long time. The evening started well with a warm reception, and we genuinely thought we were in good hands. But everything went downhill after that. The food was not tasty at all — overly salty and honestly disappointing for a place that claims quality. The buger was great. But the worst part was the service. Me my brother ordered a drink and waited over an hour, only to find out that the staff didn’t even pass my order to the barman. Meanwhile, I watched two other people get their drinks before me, so it clearly wasn’t just because of a large group. It felt like we were simply forgotten… or ignored. We came with excitement, ready to enjoy a special night for my mum, and instead we left frustrated and sad. I was even considering returning for another night package in the future, but after the treatment we received, absolutely not. Thank you for ruining what should have been a special birthday for my mum.

Our recent stay at Tamassa Hotel Bel Ombre was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, a refreshing tropical welcome, and a sense of calm that only this part of Mauritius can offer. The hotel’s lush surroundings, turquoise lagoon, and beautifully maintained gardens create the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation. A special mention goes to the culinary team, who truly made our experience unforgettable. Chef Kunal and Chef Keshan delivered exceptional flavours with every meal—each dish was fresh, vibrant, and crafted with passion. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or the themed dinners, their attention to detail and creativity shone through. Dining at Tamassa felt like a journey through the best of Mauritian and international cuisine. At the bar, Ishal stood out with his friendliness and unmatched talent. His signature cocktails were unique, refreshing, and crafted with a personal touch. Every evening at the bar felt special thanks to his warm service and creativity. We were also impressed by the professionalism of the management team. Nishad, the Operation Manager, ensured everything ran smoothly and was always available with genuine care. Sandesh, the Head Housekeeper, maintained spotless rooms and immaculate cleanliness throughout the resort. Beyond the service, the hotel’s atmosphere is vibrant yet peaceful—perfect for couples, families, and anyone seeking a true escape. The combination of exceptional staff, breathtaking location, and top-tier service makes Tamassa Bel Ombre one of the best resorts on the island.

While the way Tamassa is advertised as a great stay, I felt that Tamassa is just another scheme to scam the tourists money. For instance, they offer Sauna, Hammam, Snorkeling as a part of the room package. But often the tourists will arrive not knowing that hotel has this weird condition of booking a slot for these items, which are already part of the package, one day in advance. This means that if you checkin today late, after 5pm local time, you won't be able to do a booking for tomorrow. Its like saying "you should pay for the food as a part of package but you won't get it until you book a slot one day in advance after reaching the resort". Apart from this, I felt the rooms are not so clean - while I don't blame the house keeping staff for this, its because of the lapse of management to appoint enough staffs to cover such a huge property. We had cockroaches visiting our room everyday; not because of the house keeping staff but because the plumbing is too old and there are cracks in the washroom floor from which the cockroaches enters the room. I personally don't recommend booking at Tamassa Bel Ombre, unless you run out of other options. Frankly, its not worth the money you pay for. Location is also a pain- Bel Ombre is quite isolated in terms of access - nearest Petrol Bunk is 7kms away. No eateries or restaurants nearby, outside the resort. Even car/scooter rentals, you don't have much options there, as compared to North or West Mauritius.

One of the worst experiences ever. Upon arrival, no welcoming drink offered despite included in the voucher. No explanation about the hotel (directions, hotel presentation given). Several deckchairs broken (screws missing) At the Show Bar, no menu was given for drinks. We saw only 2 menu book used by other people and had to wait for about 20 mins to receive one. One staff making drinks on the bar (frustrated by the number of clients i guess) even yelled at one of his colleagues for inadvertently picking up his glasses. Show restaurant attendants were welcoming and attentive. Rsstaurant food was good. Burger truck food was very nice. Lastly, Sushil at the second bar was friendly and helped us to taste drinks.

Amazing place. I love this country. The beaches, the people.. warm , The service deliverd by hotel esp the friendly and ever smiling Suhail . The ambience is mesmerizing. There is nothing in close proximity outside.. but u dont need to step out.. Its perfect detox.!!
