Lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. All of them face the sea, which is beautiful at any time of day. It’s very clean — not only the rooms, but also the yard. The staff clean and rake the grounds every day. All the staff are very kind and helpful. The food is good. The only complaint is about the birds that fly into one of the restaurants, even during meals.

This was an exceptionally underwhelming stay. The view from the room is great and the hotel is situated on one of the prettiest beaches. That’s where the good ends. To the extent I was browsing alternative hotels to move to. My biggest issue was the attitude of staff. As a frequent traveller this was a first. Bar/restaurant staff particularly unhelpful. Made to feel as tho I was a massive inconvenience by even going to offer a drink. The general atmosphere gave of the vibe as thought it was my privilege to be staying there. Often ignored, difficult to place an order. I will give credit to the housekeeping staff who are very friendly and hardworking. However I found 4/5 housekeeping visits a day incredibly intrusive and unnecessary. I was walked in on whilst unclothed and despite me obviously saying not to come in and trying to cover myself the staff member proceeded to come in and deliver fresh towels. This hotel will do the job if you need somewhere to stay for 1/2 nights. But do not make this the destination for your holiday, despite the tempting prices

I spent a weekend at Solana Beach, and I must say it was one of the best resort experiences I've ever had. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade — a truly delightful gesture. The room was breathtaking, offering a stunning sea view. It was clean, cozy, and spacious, complete with thoughtful amenities, including tea, coffee, and a coffee machine. The food was delicious, although the dessert selection could be more varied. I wasn't particularly impressed with the drinks — while the cocktails were beautifully presented, they lacked balance and flavor, coming across as flat and uninspired. I believe there's room for improvement in this area. That said, the service was exceptional. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind, which made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all, it was a wonderful stay at Solana Beach. I highly recommend it and would definitely consider returning in the future.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our stay special. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Every team member was helpful, kind and always ready with a smile. The food was another highlight, always fresh, delicious and of the highest quality. Every meal whether breakfast, lunch or dinner was outstanding. The atmosphere of the hotel was perfect for a honeymoon. Relaxing, romantic and beautifully maintained. We felt cared for at every moment and left with wonderful memories. We highly recommend Solana Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, warmth and amazing hospitality in Mauritius. A Truly Memorable Stay! I had an amazing stay at Solana Beach Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by incredibly friendly staff—from reception to entertainment, catering, and waiters. Everyone was so warm, always smiling, greeting us, and making sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The view from our room was absolutely stunning, with the beach just a few steps away and breathtaking sunsets each evening. The beach house staff were especially helpful, taking the time to explain everything in detail and ensuring we had the best experience possible. The food was another highlight—plenty of variety and delicious options every day. We also appreciated the great cultural educators who shared insights into local traditions and cuisine, even giving us tips on how to integrate with locals and foods to try outside the hotel. There were so many fun and engaging activities to choose from, like bike rides, henna art, and fantastic night entertainment that encouraged everyone to get involved and dance. It created such a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. Solana Beach Hotel is more than just a place to stay—it's a place to connect, relax, and truly enjoy the Mauritian spirit. Highly recommended!
