Even though the hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere, it's a resort that has everything you may need inside.
The hotel has its own spa, gym, restaurants...
There is a relaxing atmosphere, so it's perfect for solo trips, though it wouldn't be the best option for travelling with kids.
Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable experience for when you need a break.

Beautiful hotel, we felt welcomed and staff work hard. We visited the Spa, the hotel and restaurant. Food was average - nothing spectacular, but it was winter season and there was only 1 restaurant open. Breakfast was a buffet style - all you can eat, great selection of food and hot and cold available even champagne.
No issues with hotel or restaurant just spa seems to in need of an update - some things not working (hairdryer in ladies bathroom) and no water facilities anywhere.

What a great hotel. Really lovely staff, always helpful. The rooms were incredible we upgraded to the suite and it's one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stayed. Welcomed with a bottle of bubbly and a platter of fresh fruit -- what is not to love! The on-site restaurants are good but not amazing. The Irish bar is fun but seriously understaffed getting drinks was very slow. On the bright side the outside pool and deck area was beautiful. And to top it all it's a great location to explore Cartagena and the surrounding area. I am already planning a return trip this winter...

What amazing destination! If your plan is to get away for relax, you won’t regret OnaMar. I got a single room and it was beautiful, the balcony faced the golf court, the pool and the hotel yards. Extremely neat, plenty of amenities, tube, shower, the bathroom style is fancy. There are various spaces you can enjoy, club house bar, restaurants, indoor and outdoor pool, gym, all of them perfectly designed and equipped for pleasure. The condo also has paddle courts, outdoor gym, basquet court, minigolf and supermarket. The service is outstanding!! Thank you OnaMar. Highly recommended!!

The hotel is very beautiful both inside and outside. Rooms are pretty big, the one we got had a balcony towards the pool, with a nice view. The hotel is in a gated community with a large golf court, there’s three restaurants in the hotel and more in the area around. The pool is very large and has many sun beds as well as a pool bar. The drinks they have are good and well priced, but if getting a cocktail of the menu is not easy. Service is fantastic though with fun staff that try to keep you as comfortable as possible. Cons: The lobby furniture is very old and kind of wet feeling? Since you usually don’t spend a lot of time in the lobby I don’t see this as a massive issue but it still pulls the place down a bit. No toilet brushes. Water pressure is bad and the shower suddenly goes from super hot to super cold without changing anything which makes showering quite uncomfortable. But overall good hotel.
