The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and always ready to help. The room was fancy, clean, and the overall environment was fantastic. There were multiple pools, both indoors and outdoors, all spotless and inviting. There were several restaurants and bars to choose from. It’s a perfect place for chilling and relaxing. The only downsides were that getting there by public transportation was difficult and there was a lack of entertainment options. Other than that, highly recommended!

This is an excellent luxury hotel! The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. A big plus is the free charger in the paid parking garage, which is very convenient for electric vehicle owners. The location is perfect, close to many attractions. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Highly recommend staying here!

This year, we stayed at this hotel for a few days with our two children for the third time. It’s a classic with good service and a very peaceful atmosphere. I love the location, and it’s always a reliable choice. However, I believe a renovation and proper maintenance of the rooms, especially the bathrooms, is necessary.

We have just had the most relaxing and enjoyable week stay at the SH Villa Gadea. The staff are professional, multi-lingual, efficient, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They work very long hours, but always with a smile on their faces. It can't be an easy job (we witnessed some rudeness from other guests which was really disappointing....it's not difficult to be polite), but they are fabulous, each and every one of them. The hotel itself is very well laid out with several restaurants to choose from and the pool area is the real attraction. Three pools, a swim up pool bar, food truck, heladeria and another restaurant. There are plenty of sunbeds, we never had to seek one out, and the area is clean and inviting. The way the pool area is set out is clever as it gives you the option of the pool bar end (sloping pool so you can sit and enjoy your drink, music from the bar) or be at the quieter end (great pool for kids as it has a shallow end), or somewhere in the middle! There is also easy access to the beach from the pool area although be aware that this is not a sandy beach. We had breakfast included so can't speak to the evening meal but we always enjoyed the food we ate. It was fresh, varied, with lots of options to match any preferences. We ate out most evenings at one of the lovely local bars and restaurants within 10mins walk. We highly recommend all of them, so check Google maps. Altea itself is about a 30min brisk walk; it's quite flat but is a trek if it's hot! The tram wasn't operating when we stayed but this would be a good option. Alternatively we also got a cab into the old town and it was about 10euros. Overall we are just sad we couldn't stay longer but we will certainly be back. Muchos gracias to all at Villa Gadea ❤️

Fantastic stay overall, the hotel is in good location and wonderful setting, huge room, big bed, big bathroom with tub and shower. Very clean, AC and amazing balcony with views to the sea. The breakfast was delicious, so much choice, cereals, fruit, cooked foods, breads, sweets, champagne. They have a nespresso machine too in the restaurant which was wonderful, would have a cup or two at breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, so green and well maintained. The different pool areas were all so wonderful. They have a variety of restaurants on site to choose from, beautiful lobby area and bar. There are many nice areas to sit and enjoy a drink. I wanted a nice resort, with a nice pool, nice views and that is exactly what we got! The price did reflect this though,but I was more than happy to pay it and it was worth it. The beach is just at the back of the resort, however it is a pebble beach. We would also drive 5 mins down the road into Altea for dinner in the evening. It is not possible to really walk anywhere from the hotel as there are no pavements along the road, which I found odd so we had to use the car to move away from the hotel. There is free parking outside the hotel but limited spaces and sometimes found it tricky to get a space. My only suggestion for improvement would be to put more sound proofing between rooms and adjust the doors so that they don't slam shut. We had a family next door to us and we could hear their baby crying in the night and early morning, they would also be in and out of the room and would always let the door slam causing our walls to shake. There was also one night when we heard kids running in the corridors in the early hours of the morning. This is not the hotels fault but rather the people whom have no consideration for others and think they are the only ones who exist, this was the only negative on our side from our stay at the hotel, but at least with sound proofing the rooms this issue won't be repeated to other guests who wish to have a peaceful break even if people choose to behave in such a way where they are causing a disturbance. The staff overall were friendly, informative and approachable. I do recommend this hotel and resort and would love to return some day.
