We loved our weeks stay and it was perfect for 4 toddlers. Great location right by the beach and restaurants with plenty of pools to access. Playground by the main buffet restaurant good for kids to climb while everyone finishes dinner. Rooms were clean and well furnished, kitchenette sparse (e.g. no bottle opener) but did the job. Staff extremely lovely and helpful. As others have said the Castillo buffet isn't as good as others we've been to, but it has choice and it was better than the Mar buffet which had long lines and felt too busy. One heated pool for the kids otherwise cold pools. One huge plus is the accessibility. Ramps everywhere including to beach toilets, open concourses. Great for prams and mobility scooters.

Had a fantastic week here. The place is spotlessly clean, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We stopped in the "Superior Bungalows" these we in lovely clean, private grounds with locked entry unless you have a room key to access. The rooms were very tidy and comfortable but a bit out of the way from the main hotel part and the hotels amenities and pool area. It was a good 5 mins walk to the restaurant for breakfast every morning, so anyone with mobility issues should really think twice, unless the hotel offers some kind of assistance with this, they may do as when we checked in they called for a porter to take us and our luggage to our Bungalow on a electric buggy. We stopped Bed and Breakfast, the breakfast was outstanding and more than plenty to choose from, pastries, pancakes, meats, cheeses, breads and a cooked section, also an Egg station with fried eggs, and omelette to order. Overall a fantastic hotel we will be coming back in June....

Staff are helpful, and the man on reception is super nice.
The location from the airport is ideal, but, the evening entertainment and bar is outside of the hotel, a short walk along a wooden walkway towards the harbour.
Clearly the hotel isn't just all inclusive so it's confusing as to what you do and don't have to pay for, and, what restaurants are and aren't included.
Perfect location for my plane spotting son, as they fly over often.

I have to say there are pros and cons to this place.
Loved the place, lovely and clean, some very polite staff.
We were given a bottle of fizz and some lovely little chocolates for our anniversary that would such a surprise.
Kitchen was a disappointment for self catering not even a toaster!
We called a one of the restaurants for a drink and was completely ignored. The next night we went to the restaurant near the harbour to be told we can't drink there only eat - who's heard of such a thing. Ended up eating at the Pizza place which was part of Barcelo anyway.
Couple of nights later went back to the first place and my husband went to the bar as we were ignored last time, they poured the drinks then to be told we couldn't drink there as we had a blue band on and he poured the drinks away.
We decided not to eat and drink here as it's seems too complicated, eat here, drink there, don't drink there.
The place is vast so you have to have good mobility.

Lovely place. Nice well kept rooms. Dining room pours skimpy wine amounts. What normal 4☆ expects you to buy complimentary tea and coffee after the first day?. Entertainment was poor to average. Some bar staff really good. Others forgot to come back with orders.
