My stay in Barbados was great. It's a beautiful country, surrounded by stunning blue seas, and I would recommend anyone to visit. However, my experience at the Radisson Hotel was far from satisfactory for several reasons. **Hotel Condition:** Despite the brand name, the hotel was very outdated. It did not live up to the standards one would expect from a Radisson property. **Restaurant Experience:** The restaurant was overpriced, and the food quality was subpar. The eggs tasted like they were made from powder, and the bread seemed to have been frozen and then reheated. I ordered a breakfast burrito, which was quite disgusting. When the waitress noticed I hadn't eaten it, she inquired if I liked it. I politely responded that it didn't taste good and asked for my check. Surprisingly, she still charged me the full $30 for the burrito, without offering any compensation or discount. She only refunded it after I expressed my dissatisfaction directly. **Customer Service:** As we were leaving, an employee (possibly security) asked if we had paid the bill. This was both unprofessional and embarrassing, especially since we had already settled the bill. **Positive Aspect:** The one redeeming quality of the hotel was the ocean view. We enjoyed seeing the horses in the water in the morning, which was very relaxing. **Recommendation:** I would never stay at this Radisson again. I recommend finding a cheaper hotel in the Gap area, which would likely offer a better overall experience and more value for your money. **Advice to Radisson:** As a major hotel chain attracting numerous tourists to Barbados, it's crucial to invest in your infrastructure. Please improve the quality and value of your services to match the expectations of your guests. We spend our hard-earned money to visit your country and also pay a government tax when we leave the hotel. Currently, I would rate my experience at the Radisson as zero stars. Summary While Barbados is a fantastic destination, the Radisson Hotel did not meet expectations in terms of service and quality. I strongly suggest considering alternative accommodations to enhance your stay on this beautiful island.

Nice functional hotel in Bridgetown area of Barbados. Hotel has 2 main areas - the main hotel with reception area and some rooms and then a multi-storey block with many additional rooms. I stayed in rooms close to reception and must admit rooms were a bit “old”. Thus is offset by the fact that you pretty much overlook the beach and the “horses” show most mornings. Close proximity to Pebbles beach and the famous CUZZ’s food stand.

The sandy beach, blue sea and view are incredible. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Rooms adequate, some areas of the hotel are clearly looking dated. The very end of the pier is run down and not longer accessible but you have a water view from the pier restaurant while eating. Small pool area. Fitness area. Could use a ping pong table or similar. Overall a great affordable holiday.

The evaluation is based on what you get for the (high) price. The hotel belongs to Radisson and charges upscale rates for rooms and breakfast. However, the premises look pretty old and are in urgent need of some TLC. Of course, the location directly on the beach is great, staff was friendly and it's not their fault that the owner let the hotel rot. For a Radisson, I would expect much more. The pool is also really small as is the beach strip that has been allocated to hotel guests (technically, all beaches in Barbados are public). Breakfast is not much but also comes at a premium. Overall, I would recommend to stay at other higher end chains close by until the hotel is refurbished from the ground.

Great location for the beach. Very easy safe access. Staff are friendly and helpful. Generally a tired hotel. Definitely 3star rating only. Spacious clean rooms. Lack some basics like mobile phone usb. Needs an upgrade. Nice outdoor restaurant. A little pricey but top notch food. Small outdoor pool but the beach makes this insignificant. Did b&b basis. Breakfast is good. Upgrade to half-board is expensive. Better to eat dinner locally or individually in the restaurant. Wouldn't say no to returning.

Excellent experience staying here. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. Love the location- across from Rockley beach and between Oistins and Bridgetown. Hotel provided towels and vouchers for chairs/umbrella daily for the beach. Daily breakfast buffet is good and plentiful standard breakfast items. The hotel is clean and the suites are great! Highly recommend!

We had a beautiful stay at South beach ( the Rockley) the room are very clean and big, the service is excellent!! They were very nice and helpful with the activities! The emplacements was good, if you are looking to go out at night you can take a taxi and 10 minutes away there’s a lot of bar and clubs. The restaurant Tapas that only 10min walking is AMAZING definitely recommend! Overall it was amazing. Big thank you to all the south beach team! Definitely will be back! And it save for the children

Just checking out from our week stay. This is the place to be at in Barbados. Quiet rooms, comfortable and clean setting. No bugs, or insects 👏 Quick service from the staff, The pool is especially lovely! You’ve got to experience the pool in the warm days! A great bar too . An easy access to a beach right infront of the place. 10/10 Not really any negatives here.

We stayed the first week of our vacation here and we had a great time! Very nice location,awesome beach,great restaurants nearby(Tapas and Chicken George right on the beach) Hotel staff are super welcoming,the room is spacious. Very good breakfast included. I also liked the bar and the outdoor patios,very modern and stylish. If I have to find at least smth it would be our bathroom in ground floor room,probably it needs some renovation but still was quite okay!

Nice big rooms and very clean and it appears the property was newly renovated. Right across the street from beautiful beaches And they will give you tokens for beach chairs and an umbrella with your stay. Nice room and outdoor bar and the hotel is centrally located

Nice but…in need of a refresh. The building really shows its age in the paint and decor. The beach was red flag warning the whole stay which doesn’t surprise me given it’s location. Resort pools were nice and relaxing. Never felt busy even when hotel was nearly full. Restaurants are good and well priced but the birds at breakfast were too much. Pool bar is a nice place to sit and night and serves food until late with TV for the cricket too. The birds around the outdoor breakfast and jumping on tables the second someone stood up. Service was good.

Lovely resort, well maintained and wonderful views. Food was great. Only slight niggle was the restaurant serving staff could rarely be bothered to answer or smile. And anything above and beyond was greeted with an eye roll or sigh. Reception and bar staff were great. But the resort as a whole was great.

Amazing and friendly staff such nice people, however for a beach that could be one of the best I have stayed at, to be honest it’s a total dump and makes a mockery of a 4 star hotel. As you can see from my images who would want to spend their expense Caribbean holiday sitting here ! 😆 Beach is a total mess as are the sun loungers. As a regular Hilton Honours customer this is really very bad and also unfair due to the amount of money spent on the holiday. Come on Hilton don’t give the normal apologetic reply and blurb, just sort it out ! 👍🏻

We experienced excellent service at this hotel. The rooms in the suite floor were immaculate with the best view of the ocean. I would say that they do have rats on the property near the outdoor bar area, so be careful at night.

Awesome resort in a beautiful location. All of the staff were so friendly and happy. All of the food everywhere was incredibly tasty. This resort has a dope pool and is literally on the beach so it's steps away from the pool. They also have a nice gym with all the machines and weights you would need. Right next to the hotel are several food shacks along the beach that had out of this world fish. Every room seemed to have a balcony which was great. I would definitely come back and enjoy a vacation here.

Just back from a great holiday. Met some fabulous people, 'you know who you are'. Everyone at the hotel were welcoming and all the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Bear in mind the hotel is an historic building so can't be messed with to much. That being said the room I had in the courtyard was perfect for my needs. Close to the restaurant and bar and had everything I needed. Close to the beach and a great base if you like to explore. A big thank you to all that made my stay so memorable. I'll be back!!

If I could give island Inn more than 5 stars for service, I would! People are so nice, food is AMAZING, and basically right on the beach (you just have to walk around to the back of the building). Not a lot of shopping in the area, but you can take a bus down the road for $3.50 ($1.75 US). Or a 35 min walk.

We spent our honeymoon in this beautiful little hotel. It was an incredible stay. Everything was perfect. The rooms are large and beautiful, the staff is incredibly nice and patient (my husband did not speak a word of English and I had several dietary restrictions). Concerning food, it was delicious and varied a lot. As vegan and gluten free, I was offered multiple choices for every meal and the chef even often came to me and asked me if what he had in mind was ok. The gorgeous Pebble beach is also a short 2 minute walk. And Bridgetown center is 30 minutes- walk (but there are many taxis making the way much shorter if you don't want to walk)

A small intimate hotel less than 2 mins from the lovely Pebbles Beach. We stayed for 2 weeks all-inclusive. We had a superior room with a balcony near the pool. The room was fairly large with a large comfortable bed and good air-conditioning. The pool area is small but adequate as the hotel only has 29 rooms and most people go out during the day. The hotel grounds are well maintained with lovely tropical planting but I'd say unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Paths are uneven and dimly lit in some areas. They also get very slippery when wet. The food was tasty and well presented. It varied from day to day but was the same the 2nd week as the 1st. Always fish on the menu with one or two other choices. Great if you're a real fish lover. On the whole, the service was very good and staff were lovely, especially the guys on the bar. I feel they were let down by a single member of staff who, being on reception, is very visible. I spent over 10 minutes waiting for her to finish what was obviously a private phone call before giving up and finding someone else to help me. Very poor service. I would recommend the hotel if you're looking for a quiet base to explore from.

This place is fantastic from the moment you arrive, until you depart. Super attentive staff, pleasant air-conditioned room, a great selection of food that varied daily and included fayre from around the world mixed with Bajan delights. Beautiful planting around the site invites the local wildlife to the hotel. We saw monkeys, lizards, tree frogs and birds that visit you frequently. The beach is a minute away and absolutely stunning. We had a standard room which was clean and well presented on arrival with the air-conditioner already on and keeping the room pleasantly cool. Perfect for our arrival in 32 degree heat and high humidity. The hotel is small and intimate with only 24 rooms, but during our week there we got to know all of the guests as its a very homely place to be. Best points...the staff, the food and the hospitality. Bad points.....the toilet roll is wafer-thin. A special thank you must go to Tre, King of the bar, bus boy and waiter. Always smiling, always helpful and an asset to The Island Inn.
