We chose this Marriott Bonvoy hotel for a 5-night bank holiday stay due to positive reviews and its beachside location. Overall, we had a great time and would consider returning, despite some easily fixable issues. We particularly enjoyed the friendly and welcoming service (especially the Bonvoy recognition), the spacious rooms, the large heated pool area, and the prime beachside location. Areas for Improvement While the positive aspects made our stay enjoyable, some areas could be improved for a true 5-star experience: * Arrival Experience: While ample free parking was appreciated, a dedicated staff member to assist with bags and room guidance upon arrival would enhance the check-in experience. * Hotel Grounds & Room Aging: The hotel's age is apparent throughout, with dated furnishings in common areas and rooms. In our room (228), we experienced a clogged sink, small wardrobe bugs, misaligned bathroom tiles causing water leaks, and an outdated TV. * Maintenance & Cleanliness: Issues like a broken, poorly taped toilet in the pool area and infrequent cleaning of those facilities were noticeable. Room keys also frequently became invalid, suggesting an older technology system. * Dining Experience: While the buffet offered good food variety (especially grilled meats), dessert selection could be better. Soft drinks should be included, and waiting staff attention could be improved. Cross-contamination risks at the buffet due to shared serving utensils and unsupervised children at the chocolate fountain are also concerns. * Service & Amenities: Despite excellent room service and turndown, needing to pick up beach towels from reception daily was inconvenient. Evening activities were also not well-advertised or engaging. Location & Overall The hotel boasts a fantastic location, being just 15 minutes from the airport, next to a beautiful beach, and central for island exploration. The nearby mall with a Eurospar was also convenient. Despite the identified areas for improvement, our stay was pleasant, largely due to the spacious rooms and friendly staff. We've rated it 4/5, acknowledging the potential for a truly exceptional experience with some updates and attention to detail.

Had the best time here over the Easter break. Location is amazing, so close to the airport and beach at your door. Staff are incredible, always smiling, friendly, attentive and happy to help. Particular shout out to Alex and Olga in the entertainment team - they were stars! Kids club team were just brilliant too, our little one went for a few days and loved it so much. Food was a highlight, buffet breakfast was a dream. Entertainment was the hidden gem - went the first night and didn’t miss a night after that! Dancing / acrobatics and a Madonna tribute night to top it off. Fab! Pool and pool bar / restaurant superb. Great kids pool, two heated pools and a cool pool which I loved. No complaints at all, loved the stay!

Absolutely stunning hotel. Spent a week there and it’s by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Only reason I give 4 stars is due to a few small factors: 1- prices for drinks and food are extortionate in the hotel at the veranda bar 2- small ants where constantly in the room but couldn’t work out from where 3- the food is great, but flies are constantly landing on it so it should be covered up 4- the departure service we got VS the arrival was crazy, because we did not tip the staff member (money was in case) he completely blanked us when we were leaving and did not help with the many bags we had. Overall I would come back here…. But the island is very boring so if you’re coming for a party holiday maybe this isn’t the one for you!

Just got back from our 10-day winter break, relaxed, nourished, sun kissed and with loaded batteries (although, I might have left my phone charger in the room 🙈). What an amazing place this hotel is. They have this million dollar, instagram'ish view from the balcony, where I have spent long hours looking at the ocean, swimming pool area and stunning gardens. An absolute must at this hotel is Los Acros restaurant with their buffet breakfast (with all varieties of Spanish cuisine, local cheese, fresh breads, warm pastries, yogurts, local fruit and veggies, and the breakfast classics, such as eggs, hash browns, pancakes, sausages. They also offer quite a wide variety of gluten-free options) and a buffet dinner (with themed menu each day of the week - Arabic, Italian and Spanish being the absolute best, imho). If you happen to own some little humans, there are lots of options to entertain them, so you can have a bit of rest or have some enterntainment yourself. There is this fun kids club, called Yambaland, with scheduled activities from 11-3pm (with little break at 1pm), so you can drop your kiddies (minimum age is 4) for some drawing, basketball, play-doh, tattoos, mini-golf and others. In the meantime, adults can have some fun too. There is a fantastic team of enterntainers - Aaron, Marco and Olga. Naturally kind and fun people. They organise daily activities, like aquagym (including water bike-spinning and water-yoga on specific days), gun shooting, archery (tiro con (M)arco 😁), tennis, waterpolo, etc. If you are good (or lucky) enough and get to win a competition, you can win a free cocktail. The rooms are very spacious, which is especially beneficial for families. The building of the hotel needs a bit of refurbishment, however the public, shared spaces are very well maintained. Definitely, their biggest value is an amazing staff. Kind, helpful and professional team of William, Noelia, Michela and Mike to name a few. Gracias, señores y señoras for this fabulous stay ❤️

Firstly, this is not a 5 star hotel. It is barely a 4 star hotel. We were fooled by the Beach, Golf, and Spa parts of the title. There are beaches next to the hotel with lounge chairs and coloured mats exactly the same as within the hotel complex. These lounge chairs are on public land but cost to rent with monies going to the Sheraton Beach hotel. Why should hotel guests who are already paying a substantial rate have to pay for Sheraton lounge chairs outside the complex. The exact same lounge chairs are gratis by the hotel pools. Every true 5 star and greater than 5 star accommodations we have frequented do not try to, "nickel and dime" you to death. We pay a princely rate and receive appropriate goods and services. Therefore, why does the Sheraton give you bottled water only on the day you arrive and charge you thereafter. The dinner buffet is priced at 42 Euros, but does not include any beverages - no tea, coffee, pop, I expect to pay for my alcohol, but have never had to pay otherwise. We chose the Asia themed buffet. In elementary school we took old rice and squished it to make glue. This is what the sushi tasted like. Furthermore, the chef could not tell me the type of fish used to make Sashimi. I tried a shrimp and it was soft and mealy. Whoever made the sushi and chose the sashimi had absolutely no idea what a Japanese meal tastes like. The quality of the seafood was abysmal and potentially dangerous. I ate some well cooked chicken and pork and some other western foods. The specialty restaurants are open on a rotation basis. I suspect the hotel employs only a few chefs who have many hats to wear. One we enjoyed for lunches and 1 dinner (it closes at 5pm) was Faro. I asked a service worker directions to another restaurant. It was nowhere near my destination. My wife asked reception/check in why the restaurant rotation meant we could not visit a particular diner as it was only available before and then after we checked in. She felt Sheraton should do more to staff all the specialty restaurants on a daily basis. It was most unprofessional of a couple other nearby female staff to snicker derisively in Spanish. The Sheraton has seen better days. We prefer the JW and will not recommend Sheraton
