Overall: 3/5
Positive: The location is nicely nestled in SoHo, a few blocks from the main shopping which means it is a bit quieter, though still close to shopping & subway.
Negative: This is a 3-star hotel trying to masquerade as a luxury boutique hotel, like Public Hotel or others nearby. As someone who has stayed in NYC at many similar hotels they simply do not meet the mark:
- there was a large cockroach in our room
- the service was hit/miss; I called up prior to our stay to get restaurant recommendations and was told "well, we're a few blocks from Little Italy...there are plenty of places"
- the staff are dressed like they work in a motel 6
- overall my impression of the staff were they were mainly concerned with clocking in and out...there were only a few employees at the front desk & elsewhere that seemed to exude hospitality. unfortunately that was the exception, rather than the rule
- the gym equipment is not serviced properly, the cables in the machines bind as they're not properly lubricated
- the room we stayed in had a very tiny closet, and the sink area was cramped for more than 1 person
I stayed over Thanksgiving week so the prices were obviously much higher than they normally are -- I would have been more lenient on my review had the price been

If I could give a 0 star for the service I would
Been in this hotel for exactly 50 minutes.
Worst hotel I’ve ever seen
Chris the guy at the front desk thing the sun is raising from his but. Looking at every single person from on top. This isn’t the kind of person should working with people. Once this hotel was luxury and friendly. Today I it’s something else. Beware! There are so many hotels at NY . Do not go there
BTW
The evilness of the guy at the front desk started once he saw we are Israeli.
So for my Jewish friends . Beware!

Great location, clean rooms
Rooms very small. No service at all: no minibar, no bar, breakfast is a joke.
You book a “pay at the property” rate on their website to make sure they avoid the Booking’s commission because you know how expensive it is, yet they try to charge you card before your stay and decide to cancel your reservation a few hours after sending an e-mail in the middle of the night.
And last but not least, I have never seen such a bad hospitality. Front office staff very arrogant and Not flexible.
I wouldn’t recommend that place.

Stayed here for work and the lobby area was super elegant. Was greeted by front desk and offered a room upgrade. Was on the top floor with amazing views of New York. I found everything clean and location was convenient. Highly recommend.

I was referred to this place by a friend who has only had good things to say, but it was severely lacking for us. The carpet in the room had stains and the bathroom needed some work. The shower looked to have had a glass door before, but we had a plastic shower rod hot glued to the floor to keep the water from running into the rest of the bathroom. We ate at the restaurant that evening and the food was not worth the cost. The morning luggage check attendant had poor customer service and we were concerned to leave our luggage with him. Overall, there wasn't many employees available for assistance.
