Just wrapped up a three night stay at Nomo Soho and overall, I found it to be a great hotel. This hotel offers a fantastic location, a friendly staff, and a delicious restaurant downstairs (the fish tacos for lunch were great and their avocado toast for breakfast/brunch is good too). Despite being in a corner Premium King room with an incredible view, I found that the state of the room itself could have been much better. The wear and tear on the walls in the closet, the base around the walls in the bathroom, and the overall wear and tear on the headboard and bed frame was shocking. The hotel itself is amazing but based on my experience and from what I've seen in other reviews, the hotel is in serious need of repairs. No refrigerator in the room was a little inconvenient for water and drinks but it wasn't the end of the world. Another thing I was surprised by was during my second day there, I ordered room service and was informed that "since it was coming from the kitchen, there would be a $6 delivery fee." Only reason this was strange was because the day before when I ordered food, there was no $6 delivery fee. Overall I had a wonderful experience and was pleased with how friendly the staff was whenever I called for room service or had a question. The check-in process was quick and easy. The daily room cleaning was great and very detailed. For me, the biggest draw to come back is the location and the service, the cosmetic issues should be addressed but overall, I enjoyed my stay.

I stayed at NOMO SOHO for 3 nights it was FANTASTIC! Right when you walk in the door(which they hold open for you and help you with your bags!) until you check in, everything was perfect. Rooms were very clean and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. They even had hot cider in the lobby! I could not have been happier. I was very surprised how quiet the location and the hotel was. NOMO SOHO is in such a wonderful, safe location and within walking distance of so much, including the 911 memorial museum. I cannot wait to go back! THANK YOU to ALL the STAFF.

We recently spent three nights at Hotel NOMO. Overall, it’s a great hotel, and I would definitely recommend it. What I liked the most is the location – we chose it specifically so everything would be within walking distance. This was already our fourth trip to New York, and I believe this has been the best hotel choice so far. That said, there were a couple of things that left a small negative impression. At check-in, the receptionist greeted us with an extremely unhappy expression. Maybe she was going through something personal, but it felt like I was somehow at fault for her bad mood. On top of that, the first room we were given was already occupied by other guests. We had to return to the front desk to get another room. In the room itself, I noticed some wear and tear – scratched headboards, holes in the walls – it could really use some cosmetic renovation. Also, I was a bit surprised about the $150 deposit per night, especially since there was no minibar in the room. On a positive note, the rest of the staff were fantastic. The team at NOMA Kitchen were wonderful, and the bellmen were excellent – they helped us with transportation, taxis, and even with our child. In the end, despite the few issues, I truly enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel.

Location is the only real win here. NoMo SoHo is perfectly situated, but the hotel itself feels tired, neglected, and nowhere near the “4-star” experience it’s priced and marketed as. Our room was extremely outdated and in visibly poor condition. The curtains were torn and dirty, and they didn’t even close properly, so we were woken up by daylight every morning around 7 with no real way to block it out. The furniture was scratched, tarnished, and grimy, and the bed’s headboard was literally peeling. Dust and lint were constant, to the point that I had to lint roll my clothes daily just to feel presentable. Overall, the room felt like it was falling apart. On top of that, the building itself felt unstable in high winds, and we woke up multiple times at night from the light fixtures visibly shaking and creaking. The worst part was the bathroom. My girlfriend cut herself on the shower due to the condition of the fixtures, which is completely unacceptable from a safety standpoint. When we raised these issues, the hotel’s response was basically limited to offering a room change. We were also asked to complete a three-page incident form, and when we followed up about what would be done given we paid for a “premium” room that did not match what was advertised, we were told we had “received enough.” The front desk representative delivering that message was noticeably aggressive and dismissive, which made the situation worse. For what we paid, the value just is not there. There were no microwaves or refrigerators, not even in a premium room, and for a 12-night stay we spent about $6,000 after fees. At that price point in NYC, there are plenty of newer, better-maintained, more premium hotels. This stay felt closer to a mid-tier chain hotel than a true 4-star property. I wanted to love this place because the location is great, but the condition, cleanliness, and service response make it an easy no for anyone. There are also multiple vendors selling counterfeit goods directly in front of the hotels entrance using the hotel as a meeting point.

I’m so grateful to the team here. Everyone was incredibly welcoming at check in and as we were coming and going and when we ran into an issue later that night, they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Special thanks to the manager on duty this evening, despite it being Halloween weekend and the New York Marathon, they still made the time to ensure everything was perfect for us. Truly outstanding service.
