We “splurged “ to stay at this hotel, our first at an Intercontinental. Pros: our upgraded corner room had a great view, comfortable bed and large shower. Every employee we encountered was courteous and helpful. The location was perfect, close to many theaters. Cons: It felt like a money extraction machine. Beware, they charge a “resort fee”: $40/day. How they claim to be a resort when there is no pool is beyond me. You can redeem $30 of the fee for food/drinks BUT not for breakfast. If you don’t redeem it before midnight, it resets and you lose it.

The InterContinental Times Square offers a fantastic stay, located right at the heart of Times Square in NYC. The hotel is very well maintained, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the spacious rooms and the generous gesture of an upgrade to a better room. It boasts a long list of amenities, and its central location means that everything you need is just a walk away—from restaurants and coffee shops to dessert places and more. I absolutely loved my stay here!

I was really looking forward for my stay in New York City as we were staying 7days here. It was 4 of us so we booked a room with 2 double beds through Expedia. The room photos show on Expedia its a glass door they use in the shower but when we arrived it was curtain. I was curious so I asked the reception, the lady seems not very happy with me and told me they can't guarantee what kind of room we get. Well it was absolutely fine for me but she tried to tell me that I can pay more to have a premium room. I was not there to wanted a free upgrade I was only wondering the difference shown on Expedia. At the very last she finally told me only standing shower gets the glass door and the bath tub gets curtain. If she telling me this the first place I wouldn't have go mad. Inside the room, it was all prefect until I was looking for a kettle. It was hiding at the bottom of the cupboard right behind all the cups and glasses. They are all very dusty and sticky. Inside the bathroom, also dusty and I found a few hair left in the bath tub when I first got in. For a 4 stars hotel this is not acceptable at all. For my 7 days of stays, started on the 3rd day bottle of waters in the mini bar doesn't get refill anymore, also shower caps in the bathroom doesn't get refill too .UNTIL the cleaner came to me and I paid her tips, then we got them all refilled. Anyway this hotel is really close to time square and loads of shops and restaurants. So convenient. Walking distance to underground. Alex, the Concierge Assistance was most helpful and pleasant, offering his local knowledge on what's most popular especially with kids.

My kids and I could not have asked for better—the location, the room and view, the staff helpfulness. I have many years in service and five-star hotels and I can be very critical but they checked every box. I highly recommend the junior suites if possible to book. The view is phenomenal. Danny in particular was a hero on more than one day. We can’t wait to return—as soon as I save up again anyway!

Lovely hotel. Staff at desk, on doors as well as outside the building were all friendly snd helpful if needed. Our room was a basic room with not much of a view but we were happy as we were only in there to sleep. The beds were so comfy and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. Cleaner Shiren was lovely and went above and beyond. Hotel in a great location too, near subway station and round corner from Times Square.
