Passport/visa requirements: Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of your departure from Thailand. British passport holders can visit Phuket for less than 30 days without requiring a visa.
Packing essentials: Due to Khao Lak’s tropical climate, packing light clothing is advisable. Sun glasses, sun cream and a sun hat are also essential items, as is a light waterproof jacket. If you plan to visit any temples or sacred sites, you will need to wear clothing that covers your legs and shoulders.
Khao Lak stays warm throughout the year. The region enjoys temperatures that range from the high twenties to mid thirties. Khao Lak’s rainy season is generally falls between June to October. Expect conditions to be drier between November and February. March May are widely considered to be the island’s warmer months.
