Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

To start with the negatives, rooms are showing age a little bit (but they were extremely clean) and we were in the newest parts of the hotel. And the food overall is pretty bland and bad with a few exceptions. But on the positive side, its location is perfect, the place is huge and amazing, love the 1950’s vibe of the hotel. The pool and lazy river gave us amazing fun for couple hours everyday. Water temp was perfect. Staff was incredible, the best I’ve ever experienced. Price was perfect for what we got. Great stay! Thank you! Would love to come again.

Loved my stay here! Second time staying here. I had booked tickets to go to volcano bay the same day so it was great to just walk over after unpacking and then walking back easily with no issues! Also apparently while checking in I had booked my room for the next month instead of that day but the front desk helped me change that and was no charged anything for the mistake and was easily fixed! Loved that! I got the volcano view room and my girlfriend loved it! She was in shock when she saw it and it was definitely a highlight for her! The room smelled so nice and fresh like it was cleaned 30mins before we entered which was pleasant! Had everything we needed and for a kids friendly hotel we didn’t hear any noises from the rooms next to us. It was a great and easy experience and universal keeps on being the only place I go to travel and visit when I’m in Orlando! The staff are always great, friendly and understanding! Would recommend always!

Positive: The room was clean and the dining area was well-maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Negative: The presence of several unkempt classic cars parked in front of the building unfortunately detracts from the overall aesthetics of the property. Overall: Despite the cosmetic issue with the cars, I would definitely consider returning to this resort due to the clean accommodations, friendly staff, and good value.

The bathrooms could use a bit of an update - the tub was chipped/peeling and the water pressure isn't great but there is lots of hot water and plenty of space for the three of us. We aren't there for the room, we are there for the experience. The resort theme is family friendly with lots of things for everyone to do and enjoy. We've used the pool/lazy river, bowling alley, diner, Starbucks, and gym. Still many options we haven't taken advantage of yet. Close enough to the parks to walk but fast bus transportation is included. You also get early park admission when staying at a Universal resort. Fantastic vacation. Can't recommend enough.

We had a short stay to see Universal. It was an affordable option to allow us an hour early entry into Universal. Take advantage of the early admission and free shuttles. The hotel itself is nice and clean. The workout area is easy. 2 pools are both family friendly and plenty of seating with food potions nearby. The rooms are pretty bare, but have what you need. Nothing luxurious here, but comfortable and clean and great park access.
