After reading some of the reviews before our vacation, I was a little nervous due to the multiple complaints about the service, staff, and overall quality of the resort. However, this turned out to be one of the most fantastic resorts my husband and I have ever visited. Our room was well maintained (sometimes cleaned later in the evening, but we were out most of the day anyway), the fridge was stocked, and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, the beaches and pools were beautiful and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. We weren’t able to get reservations at the restaurants that required them, which was a bit disappointing, but there were still plenty of dining options that we enjoyed. It was sometimes challenging to find chairs near the pool or beach that weren’t already reserved for guests with butlers, but we made do and still had a wonderful time enjoying the sand and ocean. The private island had plenty of space and was a lovely bonus. We also took advantage of the free photo session (photos are $20 each or available in bundles), and we absolutely loved the dolphin encounter and the glass-bottom boat tour—both were incredibly fun! The resort’s nightlife was a delightful surprise. Each evening offered a variety of entertainment options, from lively beach parties with fire dancers to themed nights featuring live music and performances. We particularly enjoyed the piano bar, where guests could sing along or enjoy karaoke sessions, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere. Overall, we had a fantastic trip and are already looking forward to visiting another Sandals location in the future.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money We were so excited for our trip to Sandals Royal Bahamian and spent a lot of money expecting great service and a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, the service was truly awful and completely ruined our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I was genuinely scared to order food or drinks because of how dismissive and cold the employees were. We ordered room service and I followed up every 15 minutes over the course of 3 hours—they kept saying it was on the way, but it never showed up. I eventually called and told them to cancel and they were happy we canceled the order. At the Queen’s Pub, we sat for 30 minutes with no service before giving up and leaving. At the fancy steakhouse, we waited 15 minutes without a greeting while others who arrived after us were seated and served right away. The island servers clearly didn’t care, and the coffee truck staff were shockingly rude, even when we approached them with kindness and patience. The only positives were the beautiful property and convenient location—but that’s simply not enough when the service is this bad. For a resort at this price point, we expected so much more. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I don't know how this place has good reviews.

This was our 5th Sandals trip and 4th location. This place did not disappoint. The view was amazing from our room. We had a view of the pool, the water and the private island. No complaints. We asked for specific items in our room (light beer and a specific wine), we had it stocked by the time we got back from dinner. Staff was kind and accommodating. We love T-Money at the swim up pool bar. He was always attentive and took care of everybody that needed his help. We spent quite a bit of time with the dive masters. The crew at the aqua center was amazing. Brian, Sam, Sonny, Calvin, Taj, Aysha and all the others were so helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our time off and can't wait to come back and do it again!

We spent our honeymoon at The Grand Bahamian, it was perfect! The whole resort was immaculately clean! The staff was amazing, kind and attentive. Our butler's were Danni and Chad, they were excellent. We will definitely be back and will request the same butlers! Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so memorable!

Room service provided no new towels, have to request each night. Had to dry off with a bath towel. They only stocked the fridge once. We were stuck on island waiting for boat that was 40 minutes late. If you don't wait in line, you miss the boat and have to wait for the next one. Called to book dinner reservations and were told they would book and send to our room. They never did. Spent another 30 minutes at the front desk waiting for an attendant to book our dinners. Pool bartenders and music was great. Nice hotel, but the service was poor for the money spent. Still here, will not come back.
