We had an incredible stay at Hyatt Ziva, and the reason is truly the amazing staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, remembered, and cared for. Mario at the Indian restaurant delivered not only fantastic food but outstanding hospitality, he also made sure we got our chai on top of a new kind they were making as well! Special recognition to Jonathon, Ingrid, and Victor, Gissel, Carlos, Clyde, Noe, Margarita, Genova for their exceptional service, kind and positive energy— remembering my name and consistently checking in made our stay feel truly special, that I will hold closely to my heart. There are names I probably left out by accident, because all in all, everyone was so welcoming there. Remember to take the time to get to know these wonderful people when you visit, it makes the experience even better. Beautiful resort, great food, gorgeous views, rooms were spotless, and unforgettable service. We can’t wait to return!

It’s gorgeous here, but I’m writing a review for the amazing staff. My family is a group of 13 and at every turn the staff at Ziva met us with kindness, patience and so much joy. The staff around the pool and beach really made our stay beyond fun. The games and activities for the kids and the exercise classes had us laughing and moving and grateful. The emotional labor behind those jobs is huge and they made it look easy. The shows at night were also really great. Such talented people. We loved it here. Thank you especially to Giselle the inflatable deer, Raul the push up champion. Special shout out to the Japanese restaurant - best dinner of them all.

1. Room Condition (Very Poor) We were placed in the non-renovated section of the resort, and the room condition was honestly terrible. The AC was extremely loud and the room stayed humid even when it was running. The bedding felt damp instead of fresh and crisp like hotel bedding should be. The hair dryer was old, made a lot of noise, and barely worked. The body soap had a strange, unpleasant smell. The sink drained very slowly. Overall, the room clearly needs major renovation. 2. Restaurants The Italian restaurant and the steakhouse were very good. The taco stand and the nacho station by the pool were also nice and enjoyable. 3. Poolside Service Unlike other all-inclusive resorts, there weren’t many staff members coming around the pool to take drink or food orders. We prepared plenty of small bills for tipping, but we barely had any chances to use them — we actually brought most of the bills back home. 4. Main Pool Area At the main pool, there was a giant white wall completely blocking the view. It really took away from the atmosphere and made the pool area feel closed off. 5. Kids Pool Area The kids’ pool had puzzle mats to prevent slipping, which is great in theory, but the mats were black and moldy. It didn’t feel clean or safe for children. 6. Noise Level Near the Room People constantly walked by in front of our room, and the noise was not blocked at all. It kept waking up our baby throughout the stay. If your room is near the restaurant area — ours was on the 3rd floor — do not expect a quiet environment. 7. Mosquito Control In the morning and afternoon by the pool, I got several mosquito bites, and it made the entire trip uncomfortable — even after coming back home. It didn’t seem like the resort was doing any mosquito control around the pool or garden areas. 8. Staff Communication Many of the staff members did not speak English, which made it very difficult to communicate when we needed help or wanted to place an order. Even the staff at the lobby struggled with English. For an international resort, this was frustrating and unexpected.

This place is truly amazing. From the moment you roll in they look after you very well. Lots of variety for food and drink options. The staff we encountered were amazing. We spent most time at the adult pool relaxing. We did spend some time in the massive regular pool area and down by the beach and no complaints. Our room was on the 6th floor over looking the adult pool area and had a great ocean view. We had a king room with a small living room, large TV and great bathroom. My wife did the yoga class in the morning out in the main area a couple of times and said she enjoyed it. The beach area is also massive. Lots of chairs and umbrellas, cabanas. Beach volleyball and other games are set up along the beach. We stayed for 7 days, wish it was longer. My only complaint...get a better coffee shop with bigger coffee cups.

What a treat it is to stay at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! My room was top-notch! Open and airy, amazing balcony with stunning views, AC'd out to combat the humidity in Los Cabos this time of year. Comfy bed, pillows and crisp linens. Stocked mini fridge and plenty of storage. Can't say enough about how much I loved the room. The service was next level, I mean honestly, really really nice people and accommodations. The only reason I gave it a four were the couple times we went to eat places and the service was extremely slow and lots of miscommunications but, like I said, that only happened a couple times over 5-day trip and otherwise it was fantastic. Definite 10 out of 10 recommend!
