Came to this resort with 119 other women for a girl trip. Hurricane Beryl hit on the morning we were scheduled to leave the resort. All flights cancelled so no where to go but shelter in place! The resort basically told us that we could have the distressed rate for 1 night and then it’s back to the regular room rate. The airlines did not have flights out until like 4 days later!!! So you can imagine the cost! More than half of our group left the resort in search of more affordable accommodation while others had to eat the cost and apply it to a credit card! The all inclusive part only goes for far and then you have to pay more! They could not handle a group as large as ours and I truly doubt if our travel group will grace this resort with our presence in the future.

I was celebrating a milestone and it was the worst experience I had at a resort. They didn’t come and clean the room or give us towels. Ordered room service twice and it never was delivered. They didn’t put a banner on my door to celebrate my bday. But I did see it on other guests doors. The staff was rude anytime we asked them a question. They cater more to white guest than minorities.

Honestly, my Royalton experience was pretty terrible. Beautiful island, beautiful beach, beautiful country, but I would never stay at this resort again. For an “all-inclusive, luxury” experience, I was left disappointed and wanting. The food was terrible, the service was insanely slow, and we experienced weird issues like our dinner reservations being lost more than once, being told after arrival that “all inclusive” did have a limit, not receiving earned reward points to Bonvoy accounts, a restaurant manager refusing to serve our party until one person was taken to guest services and had to make an extra unexplained payment. So disappointing for my first all-inclusive experience. Do yourself a favor. Stay elsewhere.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our week long vacation here. We loved our swim out room, jacuzzi tub and rain shower. We had no issues with the food, and enjoyed that we could go to any restaurant without a reservation. The beach was beautiful with snorkeling and water sports included by the resort. The hibachi cooks were very entertaining and fun! There was a wide variety of drinks and things to do on the resort. The drive is very long to get here but in my opinion worth it. We would love to check out all the other Royalton’s on other islands in the future!

Beautiful, friendly. Love the drive through the rain forest to get to the resort, however the drive from the airport is long. The staff at the resort is very friendly. The food was average to above average. The afternoon snacks at the bar were very tasty. The Tout Bagay catamaran day tour was okay. The boat staff were engaging and fun. The land portion of the tour was pedestrian. The time spent at the mud bath and waterfall was too short. The buffet lunch had hot and cold items, unfortunately everything was cold. The establishment was understaffed for the volume from the tour. The view from the restaurant was fantastic!. The snorkeling was too short but pleasant. The trip back was a party for sure. Our group had a blast. We would come back to the Hideaway at the Royalton.
