When we arrived at the hotel we had a hard time finding the building we were supposed to stay in. They had rooms connected with the hotel then we finally found our room behind another hotel hidden. There were no signs directing you to the space. But once we got in the room it was nice clean and decent and comfortable. But we couldn’t enjoy time by the pool for being harassed by workers trying to sell us time share for the hotel??? And on my check out day. They told me there was a stain on the sofa. We didn’t put a stain on it but whenever I check in a hotel I count the deposit as part of the hotel fee. So I didn’t sweat it. But they took out another deposit fee. I talked to the manager. He apologized and said they would return the second fee. Ten days later I still didn’t get the refund for the second deposit taken. So I called again, a female answered the phone and said the manager wasn’t available had me holding on for 30 minutes and said that he was confused??? But they didn’t take 2 deposits? They took the money twice. I was furious but I will never stay there ever again!!!! If he’s now confused after stealing money from me. Maybe they need a new manager and they need to get rid of the smart mouth front desk clerk blowing people off. So this is a good place if you want to buy a share in the hotel. But if you go there to rest and or do what’s on your agenda they will not let you rest. And they may steal from you too. I travel a lot and this is the worse experience ever!!! Keeping the deposit is not the problem but stealing and getting it twice is definitely a problem. But that’s fine. I will let it go. But I’ll never stay with them Ever again ‼️

Family Vacation age range 1yr-72yr 2 kids 5 adults. The property is older but immaculately kept and updated. Cold AC, clean, and extra comfy beds and bedding. The Condo was more than spacious for the eight of us . The kids had room to play in the Living room while the Adults cooked ,ate, and/or watched TV. Pool area was very impressive.

We booked 2- 2 bedroom room. We were given 4-1 bedroom lock out rooms. That was no problem. We brought friends that were in 2 of the rooms and me, my husband and 2 boys were in the other 2. The a/c in one of our rooms was not working. We checked in on Saturday. The a/c could not be looked at until Monday (record breaking temps in FL right now). They offered to move us to a one bedroom. We can't leave our boys alone in a room and a 1 bedroom is not big enough nor is it what we paid for. They suggested we find another option and try to get transferred to another resort. They were unwilling to help with anything except a 1 bedroom. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR FAMILIES THAT PAY GOOD MONEY TO STAY HERE.

We stayed at Calypso Cay a year ago and we're not 100% Happy. I spoke with Management and expressed my complaints. Fast forward a year, we gave the property a second chance. Amazing vacation, amazing property, great service, great amenities. We will definitely be back every year, our family had a great time and one of the most memorable vacations ever.

Overall great experience! The rooms were clean, and we had no issues. The furniture is a tad outdated. But everything worked well. Their kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and appliances! I appreciated that! Our unit was upgraded before we arrived, and then upgraded again because the elevator was down in our building. The amenities were great, we only used the pool one night and watched the movie. It rained all other nights! It’s a great location around the corner from walmart, outlets, food, and 10-30 minute commute to attractions.

We stayed here 5 years ago and the kids absolutely loved it! Nothing has changed it is definitely the place to take a family on a tight budget. The covered pool is amazing. Movies at night pool lit up, so sweet! The staff are super friendly. Check in was fast! Our room had two beds and a pull out sofa bed, with small fridge and microwave. Clean bedding, room had comfortable blankets. Tile floors slippery when wet though!! Housekeeping could clean under the beds better, anytime i go to a hotel i always check for critters. Found lots of dirt. I'm sure its hard to keep up with though ad the resort is huge! 5 stars for sure tho.

It was great for the price. Their bed could have been more comfortable, maybe add a pillow top mattress pad and some better pillows. Fitted sheets would have been nice also. The hot tub was very dirty and I requested a few time for it to be clean. I guess the resort guests did not shower before entering. I loved the heated pool especially since the sunshine state was not so sunny during our stay. I loved the nature walk. The customer service was great especially Maria and Lynelle.

I was there at the end of August 2019. The room was just okay, everything was old, the bathroom pipes made loud noises every time we used the plumbing. The walls were paper thin and they would drill in the other room while we were trying to sleep. Maid service just knocked and entered several times, no respect for the do not disturb sign. My credit card was stolen right off the counter. After two days the water in the tub wouldn't go down properly. We were placed far from everything which was quite annoying considering we were there for a full week. When I asked to be upgraded due to all of the above, they said the only difference would be a pull-out sofa. While it wasn't horrible, and the location itself was decent. I would not stay there again with my family.

The amenities available were terrific. Two pools, one covered, one open with barside. Courtyards. They offered a playground, a tennis court, volleyball nets, soccer field, among other things.The landscaping was nice. A restaurant, buffet style. The staff were informative and friendly. The rooms were a good size. The beds were comfy. A/C. Refrigerator. Microwave. You can tell it's an older model that someone put some fresh paint on. It's done fairly nice. My only complaint is the room I stayed smelled like mildew and had a dampness to it. However, my friends room was fine. That's my reason for the 3 star rating. It's a low cost for a family on a budget with great amenities. But it does have some set backs.

The resort room is quite spacious and updated. I love that there are two sinks, one is outside of the actual bathroom so two people can get ready at the same time. The covered pool was great! The restaurant is only serving breakfast for take out right now, but it was delicious and adequately priced. All the staff members were nice.

I thought I found a great deal, but even at the very low price I paid, it was not worth it. Our room was Bldg 3-Rm 120. The main door lock didn't work properly, so you had to close the door multiple times before it would latch. We killed at least a dozen baby roaches. The room smelled musty. The carpet was stained. The curtains were filthy. The bathroom door was rotten and did not close. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling that was poorly patched. There was ketchup stains (or at least I hope it was ketchup) on the wall. The electrical outlet by the sink would work intermittently. Only the top portion of the outlet by the table worked. I could go on and on. I took pictures but there is no option to post them here. I'm not sure how they have an occupancy license. The place is not safe. It's in a great location and was very cheap, but like I said, not worth it. I can not recommend. The ladies who checked me in and out were very nice. I felt sorry for them. I know they must hear complaints from people all the time. They knew better than to ask "How was your stay?"

Where the authorities are in Orlando, Florida (The health department), this is unacceptable. We will never return to this place. It's the worst and it's disgusting, it smells like garbage, wet dog, cigarettes and more. See my photos on google review. Because I can't upload them here. Thank goodness it was only one night because otherwise we were going to get sick from all the mold in the room. I can't believe how these people are rated three stars!

Bathroom water was really hot which was awesome. Pool was really clean and great to swim in. The late night manager (blonde woman with northern accent) was really nice. We were part of a work crew who was a little rowdy but not out of control and security didn't mind that we relaxed after working within reason. Lots of parking and quick food nearby. No hotel is perfect but really great for the price.

If you expect to be checked into a clean room, change that. We were given keys to not one, but TWO unclean rooms - beds obviously slept in, trash everywhere and smelling horribly of leftovers that had been sitting out rotting for hours if not days. The office staff moved with no haste to fix this, and offered no compensation other than a late check out (like we’d want to stay there later then necessary). Other than being checked into dirty rooms the rooms themselves aren’t kept in good condition, mold in the bathrooms, holes in the walls and general damage that shouldve been repaired a long time ago. I don’t care how cheap it is - spend a little more money and stay somewhere much nicer.

Upon arrival I was met with a very cold and distant person working the front desk. I was not told I would be paying $164 (paid on booking site) plus an additional $140 for the room. Once I turned to leave a gentleman approached the desk to complain about the smell of his room. They call themselves a resort but this would put all resorts to shame. I get it they're cheap but that's all. They're not clean, they reek of bleach, mold, and mildew. There was black mold painted over you could see it in patches on the ceiling and there was more easily visible in the door frame of the bathroom. The carpets look like they've never been cleaned nor were they properly installed in the first place! There are weird stains everywhere most of them are an orange brown color which gave off the feeling of old blood stains. The beds are probably older than me, the outside appeared run down, and the door to our room didn't feel secure. We booked for multiple nights but left after attempting to stay for one night after not being able to sleep due to not feeling safe or comfortable. I was also starting to feel ill due to the horrid smells that we tried to cover up with air freshener. Don't listen to the positive reviews they're most likely people the owners/workers know who are leaving good reviews to make people feel like it's not as bad as it is but it is!! Many businesses do this to stay afloat and the only people who can dispute the reviews are the businesses owners so why would they dispute a good one?? Spend an extra $40 a night for a better, cleaner, safer place!
