My husband and I came here as our first hotel on our honeymoon. We did the all inclusive and it was nice to not limit ourselves because they also offer non all inclusive. We stayed in a regular room, which was good with us because we didn’t spend much time in the room. The rooms definitely need to be updated, as they are doing renovations from my understanding soon, so that’s good they acknowledge that! I am gluten free and they had a lot of food options if you asked! They have gluten free bread, pasta and pizza! Also the coffee shop on site has gluten free pastries which was included in the all inclusive. Everyone there was great and very friendly. We also enjoyed the spa the day after we got there after our long flight and it was wonderful. The resort is pretty kid focused but the kids never bothered us. We were only there for a few nights which we thought was more than enough and wish the breakfast varied a little more day to day, but the juices at breakfast were always top notch & it was nice to have an egg station. They do not mark allergens on the buffet, which would have been a huge help to me, but I just ate what I knew I could. Overall, it was great for relaxing as a first stop on our honeymoon but I don’t think we would have wanted to stay there longer than 4 nights!

The hotel was old but well maintained. Beautiful green view around the hotel area. The staff was very good in helping the guests in all areas. We stayed for 3 nights and didn't have a chance to sit around the pool area as always. We took the all inclusive packages and it was the best decision, we enjoyed our breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks no limit including mini bar and room service. We feel that they spoiled the quest with this package offer so guests can have the best experience staying at the hotel. The cocktail range that included on the package is OK but all the food from every restaurant is good. We love our daily jamu drinks too. We definitely will come back again next time.

The hotel is a beautiful resort, however it definitely requires its imminent renovations. The staff are all friendly and the restaurants are great. This is my second time staying at the Melia Bali as an all inclusive guest. I must comment, that on my first stay (I hadn't realised we had been upgraded) the swim up room was far superior and larger than the regular room. The regular room had small beds and was so much smaller. The towels reserving sun loungers by the pool are a complete nightmare, caused by the European guests, who feel the need to selfishly ignore the non-enforced 30 minutes unattended rule. I wish the hotel would be a little stricter on this enforcement. To allow more equitable use of the facilities.

Great location and property. Well worth the money. Plenty activities in-house. Friendly staff. In-house restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. Rooms are big and comfy. Clean and luxurious bathrooms. Plenty private beach space in the property. Overall - loved it!

Too big for my taste but all the usual top end hotel features well executed. Beautiful gardens, good beach, friendly staff, great pastries at breakfast but otherwise disappointing on site restaurants (limited choice, average quality and expensive if not all inclusive). Rooms are slightly tired as it's one of the older hotels in the area.
