Learning & Development Specialist


Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to deliver high-quality induction and training programmes primarily for Sales and Customer Service teams, ensuring employees are confident in using business systems, processes, and products. Some systems and process training will be delivered as part of the new starter induction programmes. The role also supports training across the wider business during system migrations, integrations, and other change initiatives, enabling all employees to adopt new ways of working effectively and maintain high performance.

Please note: This role involves developing and delivering training programmes across the business at multi sites including Horsham, Chester Dublin and Belfast both face-to-face and remotely. The role is full time (37.5 hours Monday to Friday) and can be based at either our Chester or Horsham Office.

Key Responsibilities:

    Induction & Role-based Training.

  • Deliver structured induction programmes for new employees, with a primary focus on Sales Teams.
  • Deliver systems and process training as part of the induction programmes to ensure new starters can confidently use business systems
  • Ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to perform effectively in their roles.

    Systems & Process Training (Business-Wide)

  • Deliver training on internal systems, tools, and processes across the business, particularly during system migrations or integrations projects.
  • Support employees throughout periods of change by providing clear guidance, hands-on training, and post-training follow-up.
  • Collaborate with system owners, IT, and operational teams to ensure training content is accurate and up to date.

    Sales & Customer Service Capability

  • Deliver sales and customer service training to support team performance, customer experience, and quality standards.
  • Reinforce best practices in customer journeys, compliance, and service excellence.

    Training Delivery & Content

  • Develop and maintain training materials, guides, and resources for classroom, virtual, and blended learning.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions tailored to different audiences and learning styles.

    Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Gather feedback and assess training effectiveness to continuously improve programmes.
  • Identify skills gaps and recommend improvements to training approaches and materials.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with operational managers, team leaders, and P & C colleagues to ensure training aligns with business needs.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to managers to embed learning into day-to-day performance

This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out by the post holder and identifies a level of responsibilities at which they will be required to work. In the interests of effective working the major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changing needs and circumstances. Such reviews and any consequential changes will be carried out in consultation with the post holder

The Person: Essential Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Learning & Development, Training, or Coaching role
  • Experience delivering induction programmes, ideally of 2–3 weeks in duration
  • Experience delivering training within sales and/or customer service environments
  • Experience delivering systems or process training, particularly during periods of change, migration, or integration
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, both face-to-face ( multi-site) and virtually
  • Good understanding of adult learning principles and different learning styles
  • Ability to translate complex systems or processes into clear, engaging training
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Confident using digital learning tools, LMS platforms, and MS Office applications
  • Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and apply continuous improvement
  • CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards) or similar
  • Training or coaching qualification
  • Relevant qualification in Learning & Development, HR, or Education
