The staff has been very friendly and welcoming since my arrival. The executive room comes with a few bonuses I didn’t know untilI arrived, but are a wonderful addition. I opted for the daily breakfast buffet, which offers a variety of fruits, pastries, and other Thai staples. The grounds could use a bit of updating however this does not take away from the beautiful aesthetic and environment the staff has created here. I signed up for a cooking class on site and have been pleased with my entire stay and how well the staff works to ensure all guest are treated. I am here for a total of eight days and will give a full review on my departure.

Rooms are really spacious and have everything you need. Staff are so lovely and can't help you enough. Really good location for Kata beach, around the corner and for Karon beach which is around a 15 minutes walk. Loads of nice restaurants and bars nearby too.

A huge thank you to the incredibly welcoming staff at Chanalai Flora Resort, Kata Beach. After an urgent move from Patong, I discovered this fantastic resort and was truly impressed by the attention to detail. The thoughtful touches, like the welcome drink, treat, and room decorations, made my stay exceptionally memorable.
The smaller size of the hotel means you have easy access to the friendly reception staff, which adds to the overall comfort. Each morning, the breakfast offered a fantastic variety of options. The resort is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants. It is nice to not be in the hustle and bustle of the centre. It is also quiet at night - what a difference!
A special highlight was the staff’s sweet gesture of singing me happy birthday with a song and sign and a waffle cake. Don’t miss the daily happy hour at each pool—it’s a great way to unwind. Thank you for making my stay so special!

our rooms were nice, spacious and clean, location was phenomenal as everything you need to visit is within walking distance. The pools are extremely clean and the music is very enjoyable. the location is a quieter area, which makes it very enjoyable to lounge around the hotel as you don’t hear as much traffic. Most of all though, you should book this hotel because the staff are absolutely fantastic. They care so much about their residents. My boyfriend and I both got food poisoning while we were here (unrelated to the hotel food) with my boyfriend being first. one of the maids came in when my boyfriend was resting and asked him if he was sick, to which he replied yes and she offered him liquid iv and showed him what number to dial on the hotel phone if he felt worse because the staff would help him and recommend medicines. In my scenario (i was sick 2 days later) I was walking to the downstairs bathroom from the pool and felt like i was going to faint. i told one of the staff members close to me what was happening, and i immediately had about 10 staff members helping me as i lied down. they all were extremely efficient at keeping me conscious and the communication with myself during this scary moment was incredible, they listened to what i needed and kept me calm while my whole body was cramped up and boarderline paralyzed. I cannot thank them enough for nursing me back to help and I am forever thankful to them.

The staff at this hotel are really amazing, as others have noted. Five stars for the staff. The location was also very convenient for the beach and other restaurants and such in the area. The breakfast had a ton of options obviously meant to cater to various tastes/cultures and it was all really good.
The rooms themselves felt... old. We did pay for a sea-view room and the view was great. But they just felt pretty shabby for a four-star hotel from an aesthetics perspective. Comfy enough, though. The elevators were a little scary sometimes and we avoided them as much as possible which was tricky because you technically had to take two separate elevators to get to our room.
As a funny side note, they (wrongly) assumed we were there on our honeymoon and we arrived to a masterfully crafted towel art sculpture of two swans kissing, surrounded by rose petals and leaves spelling out "Happy Honeymoon." If it had been our honeymoon, we'd have been delighted. As it was, we were still delighted.
Overall, we had a comfy stay but I wouldn't necessarily call it a particularly romantic or exciting hotel/room.
