We reserve a group rate for 30 intl guest and the staff was fantastic coordinating that with us and them. Great communication before and throughout, and the rooms were lovely and staff were polite and warm. Many of our guest commented on how they enjoyed our choice of hotel. Will be coming back again and would strongly recommend!

A walk into history. This is beautiful and located right across from the Hilton. Highly recommended if you're attending a conference. It will give some reprieve from all of the noise and chaos. Absolutely stunning entrance, beautiful and welcoming. Fresh coffee in the morning right in the lobby. The rooms are smaller but remind you of simpler times. Exceptional and thoughtful staff. Come stay in one of America's historic hotels.

A charming Hotel, in a Vintage Building, with Updated Amenities & a great staff that defines “Hospitality”. A gradual incline while walking along Connecticut Ave.from the Metro ( DuPont Circle Station) that’s a great insight in better understanding how walkable D.C. is. Very Clean Rooms + a comfortable mattress (Bottled Water in the fridge) along with a cool-flavored (lemon or cucumber ) water in the lobby, each day prepared by The Restaurants Chef- daily ! Kinda woulda liked the TV options offered to include a few Terrestrial Music Streams (Jazz, Classical , Global, Afro-Pop, or NPR-e.g.) to vary my steady daily diet of “NEWS” channels (during these chaotic times in which we live-2024’s Huge WARS/ #45’s Criminal-Trials/ Climate-Driven Disasters, etc 🙄) My Bottom Line: A charming updated Vintage Hotel with a great staff that defines “Hospitality”. Stay-HERE… (& thank me later!)

Old hotel, fully refurbished. Nice, but minimal staff. 5 blocks away are hip areas with food/drink (like "Astoria" with great food!). The in-room temperature control seemed to only permit 72 degrees. The shower water temperature was lukewarm but the adjacent sink hot as Hades. Pleasant restaurant, a bit pricy and portions modest. I'd come back.

I was part of a conference and my booking rate wasn't converted to the preferred rate offered as part of the conference so I ended up paying 3x what the conference participants paid. When I brought this up at the front desk (even though I checked in with other conference participants), I was told that switching my reate to theirs was not possible... The $497/night rate that I ended up paying was highly overpriced, given the state of the hotels, room quality, etc. The room walls were super thin (I was in room 918 on the top floor) so I could easily overhear what the people in the next room spoke about (they were certainly using an indoor voice and were not loud or anything). My room was also next to the elevator and was quite noise as a result... As early as 5am, people started getting up for flights, etc. and the room became super noisy again on account of the thin walls and poor noise isolation. There wasn't breakfast included which I found more than strange especially given the super high rate. I didn't think the room was well maintained - there were large black marks on the wall in a few places, a few visible patches on the wall, some poorly hidden electricity plugs, etc. The place is quite old and needs serious renovation to warrant the price... The bathroom was nice and well maintained but had super low ceilings. The location is very good. Overall, a highly overpriced stay which I will not repeat.
