Seems like a lot of people like this resort. I understand this is a cheaper resort. However, there are still certain things I expect (cleanliness, friendliness). I will say I prioritize cleanliness, and had higher expectations for hospitality/customer service. Inconsistent/poor communication during my booking, and check in experience. Im assuming the culture of customer service is different in Jamaica. This means that some staff come off cold, rude and in ***no rush at all***. Other staff members were kind. I’m also young-looking, and not white, so maybe that makes a difference 😂 But I will also say, I booked an excursion off the resort, and the staff there were amazing…..so maybe it’s a person or site specific thing….. Rooms need to be updated and probably deep cleaned. The shower didn’t drain properly. Water just starts pooling while you have a shower. Bathroom had grime and ?mold?. I did sleep comfortably. The AC is loud, but I liked having the white noise, so I slept well. It’s a very basic resort. Location is good. It doesn’t take long to get to the airport. Beach is nice. The water is shallow. The drinks were good. There was Jamaican food at the buffet, but not as much as I thought there would be. I booked this place because my family was staying here. But next time I go to Jamaica, I’m paying the extra money to go somewhere cleaner, more hospitable, and with more activities/entertainment.

HOTEL REALLY NEEDS TO BE UPDATED, GOOD SERVICE, GREAT LOCATION. I stayed in this hotel 2 separate nights in 2 different room types which both were outdated. Fixtures and furniture in the rooms are old and the rooms could have been a bit cleaner. The elevator in our building was out of order. And, at check-in our key reader wasn’t working so it took us a while to get in our room. If you’re coming to Jamaica for a romantic getaway or want to be in a modern hotel than this IS NOT the place. IT’S DEFINITELY NOT A “WOW” HOTEL. The food selection is limited and the authentic food was average at best. The good thing about this particular Holiday Inn is that sits right on the ocean and no room is too far from the beach. The Ocean View Suite is ground level and sits maybe 50-100 feet from the beach which is dope. If you stay here I would stay away from the standard rooms and pay the extra for the suite. I’m pretty sure this hotel does not meet the brand standard, just an FYI so don’t expect it to look like the newer Holiday Inn’s rooms. Even with its’ lower pricing, if this hotel doesn’t upgrade soon, then it won’t be able to compete with the more modern branded hotels and lodging experiences in the area.

Loved the experience there with the beach area. The kids were able to play in the pool. I was confused why my toddler and 18 month old nephew was expected to have an ID to enter. It just didn’t make sense as she’s a baby. I appreciate that the manager was able to solve the issue to have us go into our rooms.

We just visited this resort. We had the all inclusive package. One thing to keep in mind is that the wifi is terrible. And they do not provide drinking water bottles for the room, super inconvenient if you have to go to the lobby to drink water and keep. Or keep have to refill your own water bottle. The sea breeze restaurant was not good so will not recommend that. The Jamaican and Italian restaurant was good. The buffet was okay. But I think the burger shack and the jerk hut are better than the buffet.

My experience was very poor! However, Shantoy Waston was the kindest person. She ensured our check In process was smooth.. She was genuinely kind and warm towards us. The other staff members had nothing near to customer service skills. The workers at the bar and restaurant were not professional, they were mean and they weren't neatly attired. There isn't enough options at the Holiday Inn in terms of food.. The only thing we enjoyed and had to eat over and over were the burgers, fish, fries and jerk chicken. At one point, a guy who was serving the jerk chicken refused to serve because I asked for an additional piece of chicken.. This is unacceptable for an All-inclusive resort.. It's as if you are begging when you actually paid for the services. The bathrooms in the rooms at Holiday Inn needs to be renovated... It's extremely small and uncomfortable. Overall, it is the worst resort I've ever been to and I will never recommend it to anyone.
