Being in the southern hemisphere, Australian summer is between December and February. During this time temperatures reach average highs of 37°C and lows of 20°C. For those who want to go when the beaches and cities are quieter, March to May or September to November are ideal. During these times the weather is generally cooler as well, although still perfect for hitting the beach.
