Silversea pulls out all the stops to deliver the ultimate dining experience during your cruise, with a plethora of top-quality venues where you can savour delicious gastronomic delights. Whether you crave an intimate meal with the love of your life or a more social dining experience in an open seating venue, there’s something to suit your needs on every Silversea ship.
Your floating hotel will feature 24-hour gourmet dining, with the option for breakfast in your suite and lunch and dinner in a specialty restaurant. Asian, Japanese, French and Italian cuisines are among the choices available in exquisitely-designed venues on the Silversea fleet. The talented chefs on these imposing vessels pride themselves on creating amazing dishes that reflect heritage and revamp tradition.
All onboard charges are in US dollars, and you'll need a US or European plug adaptor for your electrical devices. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included on most voyages, although connection may be limited on expedition cruises due to remote locations. Every ship has a medical centre staffed by a doctor and nurse, while both a complimentary self-service launderette and chargeable dry-cleaning and pressing services are available. Silversea's Venetian Society loyalty programme rewards returning guests and offers benefits when booking with Destination2Cruise.
Silversea offers a varied entertainment programme, including guest lectures, live music, dance performances, themed parties, karaoke, movies and afternoon games. Cruises lasting 8–14 nights usually include at least one formal evening. During the evening, guests should follow either Elegant Casual or Formal Optional dress codes, with jeans, shorts, trainers and flip-flops not permitted in indoor venues after 6pm. Gratuities are included in your cruise fare, except for spa service charges. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas and the Connoisseur's Corner. Silversea also offers a selection of accessible shore excursions for guests with reduced mobility.
Silversea caters for special dietary requirements, provided these are requested by completing the Guest Information Form at least 75 days before sailing. Complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout the ship, whether in your suite or in dining venues. Guests can also enjoy in-suite breakfast with white tablecloth service. The minimum drinking age is 21 on cruises departing from North American ports and 18 on cruises departing from all other ports.
Silversea is primarily designed for adult travellers and does not provide children's entertainment or organised activities. Guests under the age of 18 must travel with a parent or guardian in the same or a connecting suite. Children must also be at least 8 years old to take part in Silversea shore excursions.
Many Silversea cruises include a selection of complimentary shore excursions, while some premium experiences are available at an additional cost. Excursions can be pre-booked through My Silversea on the cruise line's website up to two days before embarkation, helping you secure your preferred tours before you sail.
