Temptation Cancun Resort

We have been to Temptations 3 times. This last visit, we made the mistake of agreeing to sit down for their breakfast sales pitch "only one hour" don't count on it. If you are not interested, you will have to say NO at least 10 times and 2 1/2 hours later. About the resort, it is a party resort. The resort is swinger friendly. The vibe is sexual in nature. The party starts early at the pool (the pool is topless optional, and about 40-50% are topless) and moves to the center of the resort (Bash) and goes until 2 am. We would like the pool to stay open later than 7 pm. The age of the attendees has been different each time we have been there. This last time (April, 2024), it was a younger crowd in the early 30s & 40s, very diverse crowd racially, and sexual orientation, mainly couples but a good number of singles as well. We go for the party and the parties were great. The spa, I was a licensed massage therapist in my younger years, so I'm speaking from education and experience. The wife and I had 75-minute massages in the same room. My massage was the worst massage I have ever had. When I sat up and looked at my wife, she said, "That was the worst massage, I feel like an oiled up mess." The bartenders didn't seem to be as quick to serve you as they have been in the past. Seems like they were more interested in chatting with each other than getting your drinks. Room service does charge if you aren't an upgraded band or a member. They brought the food fairly fast and the food was good. The cleaning crew kept the room clean and stocked.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves but would prefer a day pass next time. The day parties are the most fun but once the pool closed we didn’t enjoy the nighttime entertainment much. Attended the presentation to become members and was told it would only be 1 hour but ended up taking almost 4. Once we said no, two other representatives tried to persuade us. The incentive was the Sky Bar for “top shelf” drinks but the options were far from it. We were only able to get Hennessy or actual top shelf options when we brought a section. I ordered a whole lobster but it looks like I only received a tail and the lobster head for decoration. I’m used to getting the claws as well but next time I’ll ask for clarification. The food wasn’t terrible but nothing to write home about. The TV channels that were supposed to be in English weren’t but we found a couple. Wish there was more entertainment after the pools closed. Nothing to write home about the rooms and we didn’t have hot water the first night. We would frequent for a major event but found that one experience was enough for a regular weekend.

The place was very inclusive to their own and did not like outsiders. Music selection never verified. Have our room away given away in the beginning. No heat on the suite and the rooms were very plain. Do not get anything from the spa they will lie to you and when you check out it’ll be 5x as much as what they promised. They do their own timeshare so beware it is not what it seems.

We had an incredible time at this resort! The daytime pool activities are so much fun and the staff really get everyone involved. We were smiling, laughing and truly enjoyed our stay. The staff are all always friendly, smiling, and helpful with any request you may have. Alejandro was amazing with his attentiveness and care provided to me outside of the pool when I needed assistance. The front desk employee (I wish I could recall his name ) was extremely helpful in getting us the room we anticipated with the BEST most beautiful ocean view we could have ever wanted. The night time dancing areas and events are amazing! The staff put so much effort into ensuring everyone is having a good time! Also, they take extreme care to ensure that photos are not allowed except for selfies, thus ensuring the privacy of all who stay at the resort. The resort is impeccable! Clean at all times, the food options are amazing and the pools are wonderful. The beach is beautiful and clean, not full of seaweed like some other resorts we've stayed at previously. Every single employee is friendly and we are so grateful for the experience! Definitely recommend this resort!

Fun resort. Good food. The beach is okay close to the docks and brings in more seaweed. Small beach but the resort is known for night life over the beach. Rooftop bar had the best food. Rooms were nice but did not have enough storage drawers.
