It was a relaxing day at the Sunscape. The lobby area is beautiful and is 5star. After leaving the lobby it goes down to 3-4star. Need more lounge chairs around the pool and offer lounge chair towel covers. When you head to the beach which is very close which is great you do not see a lot of sand. The hotel does not clean their beach. Seaweed everywhere on the beachfront. Hotel needs to invest in a machine that cleans that up daily. This will improve the overall visitor experience and star rating. The blue drink at the bar is excellent. My kids had a great time snorkeling. Overall had a fun time. Just remember first impressions are good, but the details are suffering at the resort.

The beach and location are amazing, and that's about the best of what I can say about this place. After upgrading to the most expensive Beachfront room I expected more.
When arriving, they had trouble finding my reservation.
The food was average, do not expect to eat anything good here. Frozen Empanadas sold as appetizers, nachos for lunch buffet, lots of pork, minimal beef and the fish/shrimp is not fresh and over cooked.
Service at Sunnyside Cafe was terrible, waiting 20 mins without a waiter to ask our drinks or appetizers, decided to get up and go eat at the buffet, which was below average quality.
Tried to do snorkeling a d the gear was falling apart in our hands, and they have you sign something about charging for broken gear prior, almost as if they KNOW it's going to break. I watched 3 people over 2 hours return broken masks to the shop, are they trying to make extra money off guests by giving out bade equipment and blaming us for breaking it?
After spending the afternoon at the beach, we come back to our Beachfront room and they have staff at our room spraying heavy chemicals for bugs, without any notice to us. Now we are forced to leave the doors and windows open or be exposed to breathing in cancer causing chemicals!
Do NOT waste your money coming here. Find a better place.

I had a fantastic stay there for 9 days in Cozumel. The staff is very friendly, and they have great entertainment in the evening. The bartenders were nice and kept the tequila flowing. You have a beautiful view of the sunset from the hotel. I would recommend and I would definitely go there again.

Great week!
We had a great experience & it’s clear the hotel is looking to improve service/ food quality and reviews.
Laura at security was super helpful & the most friendly person.
We had great service by Antonio, Miguel (Italian restaurant) and Rene! Rene & Antonio helped us each morning at breakfast. 10/10
My only feedback was for reception, they were cold & unhelpful. Traveling with my 88 year old grandmother, I requested a ground floor room beside hers. Reception put us in two different buildings both on the 3rd floor. So we had to walk up and down multiple times per day. I’m had called 3 times and emailed ahead of time and emailed and reception did not care at all.
Over all the beach us 10/10 and serving staff very friendly!!
