Do not stay here. I developed an illness on the same day as the booking and the reservation. On the call to cancel the reservation, they stated they will provide a refund. They stated that they need 3 days to issue the refund. It happens that the person on the phone failed to process the cancellation, and the following day the operations manager, Michelle London denied any form of refund regardless of reason and timing. I spoke with the supervisor who is identified as Jeff. He denied any accommodation to address the matter. At first he denied that we even reached out to cancel the reservation. When I provided the proof he then stated we don't provide refunds.

It was conveniently located but the room was small and not very well appointed. It was very warm and we were not able to control the temperature at all, the air-conditioning was off. For the money we spent it was substandard.

I just visited this site 2 days ago . location is excellent and quiet area . Room is okay . cleaning lady was great and pleasant . rest of the employee is rude and not interested in customers well being . they are just there . Most of the front desk employee is rude and least interested in helping anyone . during my departure I tried to ask a question one of the front desk employee ,he is a tall bearded African man , felt like I annoyed him . I was the only customer there still he was interested in chatting with his fellow employee. I have never seen such a bad customer services from any other Marriott hotels ever . I always stay in Marriott hotels. please hire the people with quality not else.

If I could give this place minus stars I would. My lady and I were visiting from Boston (April 18th thru 21st). We were extremely early due to the flight. Upon arrival, we dropped our bags and went for breakfast. We come back ( having been invited to relax in the lobby till a room was available. As we're sitting there, I drifted off to sleep. I was awoken by security shaking his head and hands stating that was not allowed. Of course this is a bit disturbing. I wasn't there because I was homeless and why would the front desk find it necessary to call security rather than just coming over personally? The other troubling part was that I had only closed my eyes for less than 2 minutes. As we sat there, security came up twice after that and eventually just hung around in the lobby to make sure I wouldn't fall asleep again. It was very unsettling because I felt like I was under surveillance. I was there to pay $400 a night and I was being treated like a squatter. They were constantly gazing in my direction. It was at that point that we decided not to stay there and went to the front desk to state just that. It was at that point that the front desk attempt to offer us a room!! Are you kidding!!?? My lady felt like the front desk staff there was not the most inviting and she will write her own review but from what I experienced and by some of the previous reviews I read, your front desk staff doesn't appear to be what I would expect from a Courtyard Marriott. Shame on you. And I'm sure the initial response to this review according to previously read posts will be something policy related. We are the public. How would we know that unless we were given that information in some way or it was posted somewhere where we could read it? We just want to come to a hotel, pay our money and enjoy our stay. Unfortunately that will never be here.

With limited hotel options on the Upper East Side and having read some less than stellar reviews of this hotel, we were hesitant to book here. But since we were visiting family living in this neighborhood, we figured it would simply be a place to sleep and shower. Our first impressions walking into the lobby were quite positive! It was attractively decorated, clean and smelled fresh. We were greeted right away by Yenny at the front desk. She was super friendly, kind and helpful. Our double bed room on the 8th floor was at the end of the hallway facing 92nd Street. It was more spacious than I expected (based on previous stays at many other NYC hotels), extremely clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We appreciated having a mini fridge and microwave. The thermostat worked well. Yenny was at the front desk several more times during our stay and always greeted us with a smile. I don’t recall the names of the other staff members, but they were also terrific. We enjoyed our experience, felt safe, and will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family!
