The New Yorker Hotel was exactly what we needed to celebrate my mother’s 76th birthday. NYC was on her bucket list and this hotel offers an absolutely perfect location. Upon arrival we were greeted by Hector who introduced himself and asked about our travel. From arrival to departure he addressed my mother as “grandma” (we had my daughter & niece traveling with us) and gave her the red carpet treatment. He alone made the trip special. The views from our room were incredible. We could see Madison Square Garden & the Empire State Building. Parking at the nearby parking garage was a breeze. Our room was clean and comfortable. Getting around the city was easy. We walked to Times Square. This hotel offers history of the city as well as great accommodations. I highly recommend the hotel.

We had a good experience at the New Yorker. We stayed on a non renovated floor to save money and it worked out well. The room wasn’t huge but we didn’t spend a lot of time there anyway.
Pros- convenient location, decent city view, friendly staff, affordable.
Cons- small rooms, small beds, not enough shelf space in the bathroom.

The rooms were clean, the hot water was HOT, and the service was great. Other than the size of the room (Queen City View) we were very pleased. In a prime spot in midtown, in an old building, I guess we shouldn't have expected a large space for such a small price!

A beautiful looking art deco style hotel in a very central position in Manhattan . The history of the building as shown in the small museum type area they have was really interesting.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained. A big mention must go to the staff who were first class . I required my room to be changed,so I was beside my daughter’s room . This was done with the minimum of fuss . They were also helpful with any other requests or questions I had .
You are practically a stones throw away from Madison Square Garden, ten minutes walk from Times Square or Broadway theatres and a short walk from the Empire State Building and Macy’s department store .
I would highly recommend this hotel and when I go back to New York, I will definitely be going back to the New Yorker Hotel !
