Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort

I was a bit conflicted on how to rate this hotel as we generally had a nice time, but there were some cons. Firstly, as mentioned, the property itself was clean and we experienced great service in the restaurants, bar, and pool. I do think service by the beach was a bit lacking. Not once did someone ask if we needed anything, which would've been appreciated. Unlike some of the other reviews, we didn't experience a lot of seaweed in the water, so no complaints there, but the waves were pretty rough. Secondly, for an all-inclusive resort, we really enjoyed the food and drinks. We didn't try the Mexican (Maxal) restaurant, so I can't speak about that, but the others were tasty as was the buffet (Vela). As for the cons: 1. We had a bottle of lotion (I know, not too big of a deal so I shook it off) AND a shirt taken from our room. We didn't even bother telling management because neither item was of great value, but still not something you expect when you're trusting housekeeping in your room. 2. The a/c in the room could have been a bit better. While it kept us cool during the day, we found ourselves warm at night and weren't able to turn it cooler. 3. I understand that the hotel is open-air and there's a lot of humidity which they can't control, but the hallways to/from the room are dangerously slippery. They have a few grips on the slopes, but they should be placed throughout as my bf and I found ourselves saying a prayer every time we walked around as we continuously slipped. 4. The biggest downside, in our opinion as a young couple looking for a fun time, was the lack of nightlife. The hotel does offer great shows, but everything shuts down by 11 pm (if not earlier)....even the bar. Maybe that's okay during the week, but to not offer any late-night options whether it be a club, music, or just drinks, after 11 pm on a Friday or Saturday is a bit ridiculous. According to the staff, things started closing earlier once Hilton took over (we booked when it was still Royal Uno). I suppose if you're an older couple or a family with young kids it doesn't matter, but it did to us A LOT. Had I known that when booking, we likely would have stayed elsewhere.

Great hotel! Sad to hear they parted from the rest of the Royal frandchise. I was excited to be a member for the short time though! Service was okay, bathroom cleaning could be a bit more detailed. And a shame some amenities like the bath salts are only given once. Will probably return sometime in the future.

Very nice hotel and all inclusive. Staff were all very nice and friendly and know how to make all the cocktails. Food options we awesome and worked well for my picky family! Would definitely love to come back in the future and will recommend to my friends. Only downfall is all the bars close at 12pm.

Somewhat disappointed. Rooms are pretty small. Bathrooms are fairly large. Rooms were not restocked as we were told that they were running out of supplies. Not much attention to detail as some other all inclusive resorts have. Family Friendly Very Clean

We had an AMAZING time at Royal Uno resort this August 2023. If you are traveling with children, this place is absolutely perfect. Waterslides, warm pools were an absolute perfection. The biggest highlight for the kids was the Uno Kids Club. It is like a mini camp for kids with plenty of things for them to do throughout the day. It was super clean, stocked up with games, books, costumes for dress ups, TV, pop corn machine, snacks you name it. Andy, Gen, Karla & Beth were AMAZING. Safety was our greatest concern, and they totally made us (parents) feel comfortable leaving kids with them. They were all so lovely and friendly and our family truly bonded with them in short 7 days we were at Royal Uno. Other than kids club, rooms were clean and spacious with large balcony and very iconic view and food was pretty decent for an All Inclusive resort. Recommend doing Habachi experience at Asian restaurant, and trying grilled octopus appetizer in Mexican restaurant. Also, shout out to Nacho and Jose at the pool bar, you've given us a great service! Overall nothing but good experience for us at this resort, we sure will be back!
