Not sure why there are so many poor reviews here - this was a great place to stay! Clean, easy check in/check out, our room had a good view of the Empire State Building. We were able to check out and leave our bag with the front desk for the day, which was super convenient. The location is fantastic, walkable to Times Square, Chelsea, Union Square, etc. The room was small, but it was clean and had all the typical amenities. Only giving 4 stars because the rooftop deck was closed.

I like this place because it's close to most all of the places of interest to visit. If you're claustrophobic you will NOT like the small room size: it's small. But they provide toiletries, adequate towels & I LOVE having 4 pillows, each of varying softness/consistency. The beds are DREAMY ☁️☁️ I sleep exceptionally well there. I wish they could be more flexible with early check-ins. Other than their ice machines out of order this last visit, I had a good 4 days there. Would recommend it 👍

Walk away now! The only good thing was the location which is great. However the service and rooms are awful. Booked a King Suite the heat (in December) did not work. The got changed to a double bed (very small room)that the heat didn’t work in so a space heater was left in the room without being told. After finding out, staff downstairs said they couldn’t refund the difference and gave me the email of the manager. Multiple emails sent with no reply.
That is just the larger complaints with many more smaller things to note including dust on door (see pictures).

I'm shocked to see reviews offer 5/5 ratings. My experience was vastly different. The hotel room was nasty: things splashed on walls, mold around the shower, dents in walls, broken fixtures. The hotel supposedly has air conditioning but my room was consistently around 80 degrees. I asked for the air conditioner to be fix but it was never addressed during my stay. The shower varied in terms of pressure and temperature. On my last day I had to ask that the shower be fixed. The photos online are not accurate to the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel. The only positives were the proximity and wifi access was consistent.

Thank GOD this place is closed. I frequent NYC and this is hands down the worst hotel I ever stayed in. We stayed in 2020. There are NO views of the Empire State & Haven’t been for ALMOST A DECADE, despite their website showing “Sweeping city views” - the only thing you’ll see is the garbage in the alley downstairs. We had nothing but problems going here. The bed sheets were dirty when we turned in for the night (full face of make up on our pillows), The manager evaded every one of our complaints and hid in her office behind a locked door. A mysterious vial of what was assumed to be drugs was found in our safe upon check in. The AC didn’t work in JULY. Finally spoke to the owner who went away to Canada for the 4th of July (???) and he had nothing but defensive, argumentative, and down right offensive things to say. No accommodations, no “forgive us and take ____ as our apology.” Ultimately, I’m glad I booked this with my American Express because they disputed the charge. Literally THE WORST hotel in Manhattan. Horrible location as well. There was nearly a riot outside when a local bar closed around 4am.
