First, let me say, the hotel is clean and it looks like the guest room portion was renovated. Unfortunately, they did not renovate the bathrooms, which seem to have been last renovated in the 90s. Also, the had no labels for any allergens so I was only able to eat the prepackaged food as I have celiac disease.

I’ve stayed at half the Marriott properties in the city and this one shines! Yes it’s a select service property with small rooms, but this is Manhattan so that’s expected. What’s not expected is the lovely wine event in the lobby bar on Mondays and lovely fruit and dessert spread. Staff are super helpful and housekeeping is daily. At their price point I’m not sure what more you can ask for. Highly recommended if the location works and I say that as a man who spends more than 100 nights a year in hotels.

Booked a two twin bedroom in the hotel during mid-February through AARP travel center and got a good deal. Due to Valentine's week, hotels were pretty pricey and reserved! Room was clean and moderately spacious (that's what you expect in NY!), had heavy curtains to cover daylight, heating was perfect. The staffs were cordial and helpful. Complementary breakfast was available till 9/9:30am during weekdays and till 10am over the weekends; however we loved the nearby café (Paris Baugette) so much, we skipped the breakfast everyday of our staying! Also, the breakfast were gone by the time we reached ~9am or so!! The entrance area was spacious with good sitting arrangements and hot beverages. The dining space was good too. However the bar was closed probably. Elevator service was good. The adjacent area is a bit dusty. Lots of food joints nearby, bus stops and subway stops are within walking distance. Watertaxi to visit Statue of Liberty and islands was within walking distance. The two things that we were not happy with were that the first two days of our staying we didn't get room service, it started on day3 and the wifi was horrible, very difficult to work on laptops.

Service was great nice and welcoming, the breakfast buffet was also great. The only thing I didn't like was the cleanliness of the room, when we arrived there was a dirty tissue and some bottle caps by the bed not even under the bed, and they didn't change the sheets for the 5 days we were there, made us think if they even changed them before we arrived. But overall the staff and the location were great.

Okay location and the service is good as always, with Marriott. The rooms... They are so small. We got an upgraded room and there were about 30 inches of space on each side of the bed, and no space on the front for more than one person to pass.
